Hello everyone 👋,
Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome from Bob and yours truly😹. It's Bob's day to claw 🐾 into the blockchain, so give it up for him and other furry friends 😻. As for me I have had a great day stepping it out and just about now I wanna fill you in on how it went and also share some of the trending stories. It was a cold morning so I had a rather short morning session of a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. The other time I stepped out was to the shopping center for veggies and fruits around 1 pm. It was a largely cloudy day as I made my way. As always I had my usual afternoon nap, then I got up and had the cooking done. There was some interesting EPL football going on, so I caught some of that action. Finally I had the usual slow paced evening walk enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃 .
So what's been trending in the media streets? Locally the tallying of the presidential votes still going on. We will know who will be the next president by Tuesday or earlier, people anxiously waiting.
Globally lots happening, in Ukraine fierce fighting in the Eastern town of Pisky. Meanwhile the governor of Zaphorihzhia has clalled for demilitarization of the area around the nuclear power plant to avoid any disasters. Elsewhere, inconvenience for UK train users as rail workers went on strike demanding better pay that matches the rising cost of living💯.
Also trending, in a rare protest in Kabul, women marched to the ministry of education chanting "bread, work , freedom" as life has become unbearable under the Taliban💯. In Pakistan, supporters of former PM Imran Khan, rallied in Lahore as they celebrated 75 years of independence. Imran Khan is looking for a come back into politics.
In crazy weather, flooding reported in parts of Yemen. Then tonnes of dead fish showed up in a river between Germany and Poland, they suspect some kind of poisoning or contamination in the water, lets wait and see what the cause is.
