The art of hearing

What happens if one person speaks and the other does not pay attention?
First of all, it is disrespectful.
Second, state that there is no interest in what you are hearing.
Thirdly, there is distraction by one's own thoughts.
1st Sam 3:9-10 “And Eli said to Samuel, Go and lie down; and if I call you, you will say: Speak, Jehovah, because your servant hears. So Samuel left, and lay down in his place. 10 And the Lord came and stood and called as before: Samuel, Samuel! Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant hears."
If we do not listen, God will not heed our cry. We are very good at speaking and very little interested in listening, we like God to be attentive to our prayer, but how much interest do we have in listening to Him?
Prov 28:9 says, "He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, His prayer also is abominable."
That is, if we are not interested in listening to what God wants to speak to us, He will also turn away His ear from our cry.
Everyone hears, but not everyone pays attention. Mark 4:23 says: "If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." Which means that not everyone uses their ears to listen.
The ear allows us to hear several sounds at the same time, but it cannot pay attention to all of them at the same time, we listen more carefully to the sound that motivates our interest. When we do not have much interest, we usually get sleepy, but on the contrary, when there is interest, we focus our attention and do not lose focus.
We must let God speak. Neh 8:5-6 “So Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, because he was higher than all the people; and when he opened it, all the people were attentive. 6 Then Ezra blessed Jehovah, the great God. And all the people answered; Amen! Amen! raising their hands; and they humbled themselves and bowed down to the ground worshiping Jehova
In order to be attentive to what the Lord wants to tell us, we must first let God speak. We talk a lot and listen little.
Ready to hear. Prov 18:13 "To him who answers a word before hearing, it is fatuity (foolishness, folly) and reproach (disgrace, affront)" Sigo 1:19 says: "Therefore my beloved brothers, every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger"
Hear the word, but with faith. Heb 4:2 “For the good news has been preached to us as well as to them; but hearing the word profited them not, because it was not accompanied by faith in those who heard it.”
Because they did not hear with faith, they had to wander for 40 years in the desert and could not dwell in the land that had been promised to them, and they died in the desert.
Gal 3:5 “He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and works wonders among you, does he do it by works of the law or by hearing with faith?
The answer to this question is found in Gal 2:16: “Knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, we also have believed in Jesus Christ, that we may be justified by faith in Christ. and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.”
Rom 10:17 "So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"
Dangerous times. 2 Tim 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not suffer sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will heap up teachers according to their own desires”
Eccl 5:1 “When you go to the house of God, guard your foot; and come nearer to hear than to offer the sacrifice of fools; Because they don't know what they're doing wrong."

¿Qué pasa si un apersona habla y la otra no le presta atención?
En primer lugar, es una falta de respeto.
En segundo lugar, manifiesta que no hay interés en lo que estas oyendo.
En tercero lugar, hay distracción por pensamientos propios.
1°Sam 3:9-10 “Y dijo Elí a Samuel: Ve y acuéstate; y si te llamare, dirás: Habla, Jehová porque tu siervo oye. Así se fue Samuel, y se acostó en su lugar. 10 Y vino Jehová y se paró, y llamó como las otras veces: ¡Samuel, Samuel! Entonces Samuel dijo: Habla, porque tu siervo oye”
Si no escuchamos, Dios no prestará atención a nuestro clamor. Somos muy buenos para hablar y muy poco interesados para escuchar, nos gusta que Dios esté atento a nuestra oración, pero ¿Cuánto interés tenemos en escucharlo a Él?
Prov 28:9 dice: “El que aparta su oído para no oír la ley, Su oración también es abominable”.
Es decir, si no ponemos interés en escuchar lo que Dios nos quiere hablar, Él también apartará su oído de nuestro clamor.
Todos oyen, pero no todos prestan atención. Mc 4:23 dice: “Si alguno tiene oídos para oír, oiga”. Lo que significa que no todos usan sus oídos para escuchar.
El oído, nos permite oír a la vez varios sonidos, pero no puede fijar la atención en todos ellos al mismo tiempo, escuchamos con mayor atención aquel sonido que motiva nuestro interés. Cuando no tenemos mayor interés suele bajarnos sueño, pero por el contrario, cuando existe interés, fijamos nuestra atención y no nos desconcentramos.
Debemos dejar hablar a Dios. Neh 8:5-6 “Abrió pues, Esdras el libro a ojos de todo el pueblo, porque estaba más alto que todo el pueblo; y cuando lo abrió, todo el pueblo estuvo atento. 6 Bendijo entonces Esdras a Jehová, Dios grande. Y todo el pueblo respondió; ¡Amén! ¡Amén! Alzando sus manos; y se humillaron y adoraron a Jehová inclinados a tierra”.
Para poder estar atentos a lo que el Señor nos quiera decir, primero debemos dejar hablar a Dios. Hablamos mucho y escuchamos poco.
Prestos a oír. Prov 18:13 “Al que responde palabra antes de oír, le es fatuidad (tontería, necedad) y oprobio (deshonra, afrenta)” Sgo 1:19 dice: “Por esto mis amados hermanos, todo hombre sea pronto para oír, tardo para hablar, tardo para airarse”
Oír la palabra, pero con fe. Heb 4:2 “Porque también a nosotros se nos ha anunciado la buena nueva como a ellos; pero no les aprovechó el oír la palabra, por no ir acompañada de fe en los que la oyeron”
Por no oír con fe, tuvieron que vagar durante 40 años por el desierto y no pudieron habitar en la tierra que les había sido prometida, y murieron en el desierto.
Gal 3:5 “Aquel, pues, que os suministra el Espíritu, y hace maravillas entre vosotros, ¿lo hace por las obras de la ley o por el oír con fe?
La respuesta a esta pregunta la encontramos en Gal 2:16: “Sabiendo que el hombre no es justificado por las obras de la ley, sino por la fe de Jesucristo, nosotros también hemos creído en Jesucristo, para ser justificados por la fe de Cristo y no por las obras de la ley, por cuanto por las obras de la ley nadie será justificado”
Rom 10:17 “Así que la fe es por el oír, y el oír, por la palabra de Dios”
Tiempos peligrosos. 2°Tim 4:3 “Porque vendrá tiempo cuando no sufrirán la sana doctrina, sino que teniendo comezón de oír, se amontonaran maestros conforme a sus propias concupiscencias”
Ecle 5:1 “Cuando fueres a la casa de Dios, guarda tu pie; y acércate más para oír que para ofrecer el sacrificio de los necios; porque no saben que hacen mal”
