Why do we Sing to God?||Por qué le Cantamos a Dios?[ENG/ESP]

Good evening, God bless each one of you. Today I will start this post with a question.

Why do we "sing" instead of "telling" God our feelings of joy and thanks?

When I speak, it is essentially my intelligence that works. With my reason I can identify myself with the words of a Psalm, and even repeat them because they reflect my way of thinking. But when I sing them, a deeper part of my personality comes into play. My feelings, my body, my whole being, is involved in acclaiming God. The music underlines each of the words, amplifies them, engraves them in our hearts and moves our deepest zones, propelling them towards God. Music mobilizes both our subconscious and our body.
If a real Christian never feels like singing, not even in his heart, isn't this a sign that something is wrong in his life? Paul points to singing as a first manifestation of the fullness of the Spirit and at the same time, as a means to increase that fullness of God (Ephesians 5:19).

Jesus said in Mt 12:34: "...Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." If we never have a song in our mouth, it is because there is an emptiness in the heart. Otherwise, how can we not acclaim our God, how can we not shout at him sometime the joy we feel in belonging to him? If there are songs in abundance, singing to God has the wonderful ability to fill our hearts even more. When we follow God, there is no room for words; For the Hallelujahs only, Glory to Almighty God.
Psalm 32:11 says "Rejoice in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart."

Question: What is "acclaim"? How are we to acclaim God? Do you see how the fans of a soccer team react, how they act, before the fleeting victory of their players?
The victory of Jesus Christ, the Only True and Living God, must be acclaimed more than all the victories of men. This is what the Word tells us in Psalm 33:2-3 "Hail the Lord with the harp; sing to him with the psaltery and decachord. 3 Sing to him a new song; do it well, playing with joy." In our midst, the Lord also plays a final match. We know who your enemy is. And we know whose victory it is. The winner, the victorious scorer, is the Lamb of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Our churches, all our meetings, whether we are five, fifty or five thousand, would do well to become more like a football stadium where the final is played. Actually, it is quite simple; we just have to alter the order of the letters in the word, and instead of iGOAL! shout GLORY! with overflowing enthusiasm, with all the being, at full lung, heart, stomach, arms and legs. Until the roofs fall down! And the ceilings of our indifference, pride, complexes, appearances and intellectualism.
Let no one believe that these are charismatic modernities. The acclamation to the Lord was a constant reality in the celebrations of the people of Israel. With all normality, the Lord was acclaimed as "Victorious Hero".

Psalm 29, after exhorting the children of God to acclaim his glory and power, describes the response of the people Sal 29:9: "In his temple everything proclaims his GLORY!". It says "TEMPLE", not stadium or soccer field. We have to reinforce structures and roofs of our churches, so that they resist the vibrations and rumblings that are to come. Among us Christians, the acclamation has been reduced to formulas such as "amen" or "hallelujah". When the Christian contemplates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, he feels led by the Spirit to recognize his Lordship and to express his admiration in words, in songs, in laughter, in broken syllables, in applause, in shouts, in silence, in tears, according to God. give to each. The basic thing is not what is said, but the love and adoration that spring from the heart.

2nd King 3:11-12 and 15 "But Jehoshaphat said, Is there no prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of the Lord through him? And one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, "Here is Elisha, son Shaphat, who served Elijah. 12 And Jehoshaphat said: This shall have the word of Jehovah. And the king of Israel, and Jehoshaphat, and the king of Edom went down to him. (Elisha said), 15 But now bring me a player. And while the player was playing, the hand of the Lord came upon Elisha."

Amen, Amen and Amen.

Amen, Amen y Amen.
