The thought of a quadruple is living rent-free in our heads.

There is this thing trending in the football world where Liverpool fans like myself and anyone that wants Liverpool to win the Prems this season are hoping that Man City will slip in one way or another so that Liverpool can go ahead and capitalize on that.

Do you get the point?

It shows that as far as this season is concerned in that particular competition, there is no other way for Liverpool to beat the excellence of Manchester City so, the only option is to wish for their downfall.

That mindset is a normal thing in the world of sports and we know that Man City deserve to win the title, but as fanatics who are loyal to our club, we are overlooking the fact that the opposition also deserves a win. We only want our team to be on the winning end.

Let's not forget that Liverpool already has two titles in the bag this season. We are also in the champions league final and we could win a treble this season if we have an upper hand in that final vs Madrid. Manchester City on the other hand can only win the premier league this season and they have 1 point advantage.

Nonetheless, we still have our eyes on the Prems. The thought of doing the impossible in English football by winning a quadruple is already living rent-free in our heads. The bragging right that will come from that will be unreal. I bet that will beat 'the invisible' record that Arsenal Fc made in 2003/2004 season.

Gameweek 38 awaits

I was just streaming Klopp's (Liverpool's gaffer) pre-match press conference before I paused it to write this post. The man is stepping into the final game week of the season and he looks quite relaxed with his mug of coffee or whatever that is.

The final game of the season will be played on Sunday, May 22. All 10 games will be played at the same time. It will be a crazy atmosphere in Anfield because everyone will be checking the tabloids to know if Man City are bottling the league in any possible way.

In fact, there will be a massive eruption in Liverpool if things takes a favourable turn.

If I'm being honest with you, the first thing I will say is that it's very unlikely for Manchester City not to bury that game within the first 45 minutes of the game. Not with everything that is at stake. This is the kinda game you see them scoring 7-0. Despite that, we genuinely can't overlook the fact that football has its twists and turns.

Giving a big hand to Man City

Football fans are being spoilt with the brilliance of Manchester City and Liverpool. They are fantastic to watch and they have been going toe to toe with each other for half a decade. I genuinely believe that if there was nothing like this Manchester City side, Liverpool would have possibly won 3 Prems within the last 5 years.

It's quite funny how I don't watch Manchester City's premier league games because I always wish they lose and they never lose a game when I'm watching. Haha. That's how good they are. They have been a powerful opponent and I want them to slip this time around, but whatever happens on the final game day, it will always be on record that Manchester City is a brilliant team.

This is me recognising the excellence of a brilliant Manchester City.
