The Eagles of Cartage didn't not start on a good note in the tournament after they were defeated by a lone goal in their first match against Mali at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium in their first game January 12

Tunisia responded well in their second group match as they put on a fine display against Mauritania by finding the net four times to lift their hope of qualification from the group stage, thanks to the brilliant performance of Veteran strike Wahbi Khazri which see him score twice and set an assist.

However, the 2004 Africa champions fell Short below expectation once more after loosing against an inexperienced Gambia side in the last group match of the group stage, with Abile Jallow 93rd minutes winner sending the scorpions through to the knockout stage in their maiden edition

Tunisia as not been so good so far as they behave been struggling with form and a dull attacking performance which as seen them not registered a goal in three of their last four matches across all competitions

They will now be hoping to pick it up from where they left it when they played against the Super Eagles of Nigeria who ran away with a One goal victory courtesy of Odion Igahlo's 3rd minutes strike when the two sides meet last time in Egypt with the Eagles winning the Bronze medal

A very cagey constest is expected when this two team meet tonight, with both sides having six victory to themselves against each other, while they both shared the point on eight occasion too.

Austin Eguavoen will be pleased with his boys performance and same faces will be expected when they played against Tunisia for a place in the last Eight.

Both team will be heading to the encounter with a point to prove as both Eagles will be hoping to book their place in the next round of the competition in Cameroon later tonight.
