Unfinished factory village

IMG_5246.jpg

A walk through the unfinished residential town for the workers of the compressor plant that was never built, popularly called the "Dead City". Construction began in the late 1980s, the site was cleared for future factory workshops, and about 5 houses for workers were built. Three two-story houses, and two five-story. In some houses they even started finishing, they had electricity - but perestroika came, the construction site was frozen. Gradually, everything was taken away by the locals. Only the skeletons of the houses remained. Now the place is popular with paintball players, photographers and walkers in abandoned places. Some time ago, information began to appear on the network that the district leadership wants to demolish all these unfinished buildings. Whether this will actually be the case - time will tell.
