The 4 decades in which I have lived, My favorite music

Greetings to all the members of this respected community! I have always admired the fabulous publications that come out from these challenges of the month and I do not dare to participate since I am 34 years old and I was not born in the great golden age, but with the permission of all and cheating a little I present today with this entry to the #BoM Blog of the Month: Musical Memories I invite to participate @lileisabel @taniagonzalez @annafenix.

Since I was in my mother's womb, she used to play her cassettes for me, since she read in a magazine for new mothers that babies after 6 months of gestation can hear sounds, so from that moment on we started to be great music companions. I am talking about 1988, the first decade I lived from my mother's womb and my birth.

When I was born my musical journey began, my mother kept listening to her music while doing housework on weekends and I was her companion from my cradle. I learned to dance and sing in my cradle and music has been with me ever since. Here is my selection of songs for each decade I have lived:

Your Pirate Is Me - Chayanne (1988)

Maybe we are 2 incurable madmen
Maybe we are 2 sparks in the dark🎵🎶

I find this song so romantic that it has always been part of my favorite playlist. I like the handsome Puerto Rican singer to dance and to feel the love songs he performs. This song is definitely one of his most popular hits as it tells the story of a great love, where the lovers are not worth anything they do to separate them, they just love each other.

Personally, I lived this when my husband had to return to his country Cuba and I stayed in my country Venezuela for a few months and just listening to this song helped me to feel close to my great love.

And no matter the distance from your port, let them put 7 seas between you and me....

I Want It That Way- Backstreet Boys (1999)

If anything prompted me to participate in this challenge it was my love for the Backstreet Boys. By this time I was madly in love with these guys, I listened to all their songs and watched all their videos, I had posters in my room and dreamed of attending a concert of my favorite group.

Once again I had the support of my mom to listen to this beautiful music. My sisters were influenced by me and my mom would burn CDs for me with a selection of my favorite songs.

I also enjoyed listening to the music of N'sinc y Britney Spears. But I have the complete digital discography of the Backstreet Boys and whenever I have the opportunity I delight myself with their songs.

It's My Life - Bon Jovi (2000)

The 2000's started with a little more freedom for me, I was still growing up and I realized I was a teenager, so Mtv we became my guide for that time and music continued to be an important part of my life. I would get out of school in the middle of the day and come home to do my homework and listen to my music.

It's My Life, by Bon Jovi was an icon of this stage of my life. I love it from its opening guitar until it ends and I love its video.

Stay away from me - Camila (2010)

I've always liked romantic music, but since 2010 onwards I've only listened to those songs that make your heart beat faster. I declare myself a woman in love with life and those around me to whom I always offer my love, that's why these songs are important to me.

Mi gente - Willy William (2017)

In 2017I became obsessed with this catchy Willy Williams beat that they've mixed with countless songs and that I love since I can't help but move when I hear it. I like it a lot even though I'm not a lover of Regueton or anything like it, I can recognize a good beat when when I hear it.

This decade that we are starting has been full of music for me. But children's music because in 2020 my daughter was born and since she was in my womb we listened together to traditional songs from Venezuela and Cuba and especially lullabies.

I share with you one of these songs with which I like to rock my little one, always teaching her the best of her culture and tradition.

I hope you like my participation. It was a pleasure to share with you. See you next time. Best regards!
