Pied Advocet are some very beautiful birds and I like to watch them a lot. Unfortunately I only know one place where I can find them. They can be found at Lake Neusiedler here in Austria, they should also be resident at the Lake Balaton in Hungary and on some spots in Germany at the north sea. The pied avocet is a white wading bird and has bold black markings. Adults have white plumage except for a black cap and black patches in the wings and on the back. They have long, upturned bills and long, bluish legs. With their bill they search the shallow water for some insects and it is funny when I watch them. If they Synchronously flick their bill through the shallow water and shlick.
