RGB Man- The Lord, The Keeper and The Samurai Master

Hi Ho Hiveans,
Hoping that you've all been enjoying yerseles in the great outdoors with this spell of better weather that we've been having the past two weeks. I am planning another chillaxing camera-free hammock camping trip this weekend, just time to relax and maybe I'll craft a spoon! 😉 Small Orange Divider.png

A few more images from my RGB-Man series. I didn't start naming them with the RGB-Man prefix until late 2015 and they had just been posted to Flickr with the camera details and image number. I suppose I had started to become a little more confident about the images I was creating and could name them as they were no longer a snap of random waving of a string of LED 's but more considered and even pre-planned!

The above Image was taken at Durlston Castle near Swanage, Dorset, England. Durlston Head Castle was built in 1886 and was constructed by a local builder, William Masters Hardy, and despite its traditional appearance, an iron frame lies behind its stone cladding.

Trying out a different pose for the silhouette in this image, very difficult for Matt to keep totally still with his arm in the air holding a wooden pole but I think the slight waving gives it a bit more of a dynamic feel and gave Matt a workout. I used two homemade RGB LED "paintbrushes" for the green and orange waves and a homemade RGB "Lightwriter" for the red eyes. The blue light in the fort was created with a cheap rechargable RGB mood lamp. Divider 5.png

A top exploring location at RNCF Holton Heath and in the Climate Labs. Now totally trashed and with new fencing and the demolition crew on site, but many visits were made and images created. The above image was created for the model/actor/dancer/martial artist Mario, it was our 2nd shoot for Mario and so after the first shoot in the alleyways around Bournemouth Town Center, we decided to go to this top spot. Mario had bought his Karate and his Muay Thai kits so was a top night creating images and Mario wasn't even worried about changing in the middle of a dark, damp room standing on top of rusty metal and broken glass, Legend!

Thanks for your interest, I am enjoying looking back at my old images I hope have too and if it helps to add to a grand idea in your own creative mind, then that's a bonus.

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?
Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
