Meet Abel Alexander. He was born at only 22 weeks, or a little over 5 months into his mother's pregnancy. He will hopefully go on to have a happy life, thanks to the efforts of medical professionals of Beth Israel Hospital and Childrens' Hospital in Boston.
This is a remarkable result. I think this sort of medical progress also changes the parameters of discussion about abortion as the mark at which a fetus becomes a potentially viable baby is moving earlier and earlier.
