Hello everyone.

Today I would like to show you a very simple recipe for homemade iced tea.

You take fruit, I like nectarines or peaches very much. Wash them, cut them into small pieces and remove the seeds.

Lemons also work, but you might not want to let them steep for so long.

Put the fruit in a heatproof teapot, add black tea, either in a tea strainer if you want to use loose tea or in tea bags, because the tea has to be removed before the fruit.

Now pour hot water over it. Remove the tea after the desired infusion time. I leave the peaches or nectarines to cool in the tea overnight. With citrus fruits, I would test whether the tea does not become bitter due to the peels.

You can use whatever you like to sweeten the tea, but I like to use a little honey. In order not to destroy the valuable ingredients of the honey, you should only stir it in when the tea is below 50 degrees Celsius, better still below 40 degrees Celsius. However, it will not dissolve well in cold tea.

When the tea has cooled down, you can pour it into a bottle or carafe, put away the fruit and put it in the fridge.

Enjoy it!

Hallo allerseits.

Lasst ihn Euch schmecken!
