It's all crabs!!!
Pu Pen & Pu Wan (Fresh crab, sweet crab)
In Pattaya, there's this one seafood restaurant. Super popular and famous. Every time my family goes to Pattaya, we gotta stop by here and have some great delicious seafood. The place called 'Pu Pen' meaning, fresh crab. Just recently that they opened a new cafe attached to the restaurant and the place called 'Pu wan' meaning, sweet crab. Now, can you guess, what this place going to be like? Sooo crabby! (I mean that in a good animal way - it's full of crabs! Crabs everywhere!) Even a door handle, it comes in form of crabs, wha!!
Crab desserts and ice-cream
First we gotta go straight to the counter and order some food and drinks. They offer varieties of crab theme dessert like cookies, cake, macarons, and what they're known for is their ice-cream (nope, not crab flavor, I'm sorry to disappoint you), served in a crab looking cup. Their cups made of plastic so it could be taken home and reused. How cool is that?
The ice-cream is claimed to be homemade as well. I have tried a few flavors and all of them are super intense. If you order chocolate, it's super chocolaty that it's almost like you're eating a bar of chocolate except that it's icy cold and softer. I also ordered matcha once and dang, isn't it so matcha-y! It's sooooo green! In a good way though. Never had any ice-cream this intense flavored.
Another gimmick when ordering ice-cream at Pu Wan is that, you can go to the self-served sprinkle counter and sprinkle the ice-cream just the as colorful as you want. Kinda fun but I'm just not a fan of sprinkle tastes.
Crab pillow, crab purse, crab everything!
Since Pattaya is a tourist city, souvenir seems to be a thing. As well as, you can consider this a family friendly restaurant so there are always people in all ages visiting. They offer some cute pillow, purses, hand bags, pencil boxes, basically all these basic stuff that can be made cute with their crab theme. My cousins couldn't help getting a few crab pillows back home.
Their seafood is super quality and now their desserts. Love all things I have tried there so far and sure is a must-visit when you're in Pattaya either just for a quick dessert stop or a whole full feast. Love it.
