Yesterday, for dinner, our intention was to make a pizza at home. So, I did my part & prepped the veggies, using what I found in our fridge: broccoli 🥦 cauliflower, peppers 🌶 onions 🧅 & corn 🌽
Then I drizzled olive oil & added Greek spices.
My wife handles the dough. And, although we allowed it to cool off/get to room temperature for 45 minutes before using it, we couldn’t get it to hold.
Maybe, we used too much flour? In any case, we decided to do the next best thing: calzone!
Our oven was preheated at 410 degrees & after stuffing and sealing our pizza pocket, including tomato sauce and Parmesan, we applied egg yolk to the outside (to give it a golden delicious crust).
Around 15 minutes later —checking in on it, occasionally— I released this beast from the oven & devoured it, with a side of jellied hot sauce 😋
