@ecoTrain| Spirituality | Topic | The great promise of dwelling with God in a new heaven and a new earth

As human beings, we long and cherish the hope of living with our God in a new heaven and a new earth, where there will finally be peace, love, security, solidarity, coexistence and constant and abundant happiness.
The new earth and the new heaven as what God promises us in his word, is our great and only hope.

2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her betrothed. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Here is the dwelling of God among men! He will encamp among them, and they will be his people; God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist." Revelation 21: 1-5 New International Version (NIV).

The Lord confirms through His word that the first heaven and the first earth will pass away. The earth we currently inhabit is completely polluted by sin and wickedness. Violence and war have ruled the earth for centuries, causing pain, misery, suffering, famine and anguish to mankind. However, God's great promise is that all this will pass away and there will come a glorious and wonderful new earth with a new heaven, where the true city will descend from God's heaven, where all human beings redeemed by the blood of Christ will dwell. This is the "New Jerusalem," holy and beautiful to the Lord.
In this city there will be eternal peace, love, joy, happiness and communion among all God's redeemed saints.

The Bible says that God will dwell in the midst of his people. God will be our God and we will be his holy people who worship him in spirit and in truth.
The tabernacle of God is the holy city of Jerusalem, where the streets are golden and the city shines with the glory and beauty of our God.
We will walk through streets of gold and behold the grandeur of the beauty of the "New Jerusalem."

In the holy city of Jerusalem there will no longer be night, but everything will remain in the glorious light that comes from the Lamb of God. Jesus will continually be the light that will shine throughout the city of Jerusalem. The heavenly Father will reign for all eternity with those redeemed by the blood of Christ and they will be forever in continual praise to God the Father who sits on the high and exalted throne, to whom belong glory, honor, praise and worship.

The city needs neither sun nor moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. Revelation 21:23

God's great promise of a new heaven and a new earth will take place when the days of the great tribulation are over and the Antichrist and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire. It must also be fulfilled that Satan will be defeated and cast into the lake of fire. It must also be fulfilled that Jesus will have reigned on earth for a thousand years and then will hand over to God the Father, the dominion and power to reign with all the saints on the new earth and the new heaven in the holy and heavenly Jerusalem forever and ever. Amen.

24 Then the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God and the Father, when he shall have done with all dominion and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 1 Corinthians 15:24-25 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
