I would be relating the whole companion topic to the relationship aspect in this little discussion we're about to dive in.

To the best of my knowledge, a companion is someone you spend much time with and cherish a lot and someone you tend to share your best times with.

Now relating the topic to the relationship aspect, a companion is someone you're likely to spend the rest of your life with.

Having the right companion in a relationship matters a lot and it is very important to know the kind of companion you're spending time with.
Just like the famous quote which says "HE WHO FINDS A WIFE, FINDS A GOOD THING".

A companion should possess a lot of good qualities but I listed some of the below which I think they're the most essential of them

QUALITIES OF A GOOD COMPANION IN A RELATIONSHIP

• A good companion would dedicate his/her time to the relationship to make it work and show concerns of needs in the relationship.

• A good companion is always honest: If the relationship was not built on trust and honesty in the first then, as we all know the relationship is likely to fail.

• A good companion respects the other in the relationship: it's difficult for the relationship to grow when there's a disrespectful companion in the relationship so that's why it's necessary to choose a respectful companion. Someone who will respect every aspect of your life.

• Plans for the future: the right companion will always plan for the future of the relationship and try to make some plans that favors both party in the relationship.

Having the right companion is one of the most important things in life, take your time to choose the right companion
