En mi publicación anterior comenté un poco sobre lo especial que es este proyecto para mí. Al tejer esta prenda completé una tarea pendiente de mi lista de deseos del crochet, ya que es la primera vez que tejo una prenda para un bebé.

Blessed day my dear and appreciated needleworkers, I hope you are well and I wish you have a great week. For my part, I am very happy to write this post to show you my first crocheted baby garment.

In my previous post I commented a little about how special this project is for me. By knitting this garment I completed a pending task in my crochet wish list, since it is the first time I knit a garment for a baby.

As I already told you, I decided to make this particular garment because we still don't know the sex of the baby that is on the way. I have knitted it in a color that can be used for both boys and girls, with a very basic pattern. At the moment I have not added any details or applique until we know the sex of the baby. What I have thought is that if it turns out to be a girl, I will add some white bows in the yoke and I will add a knitted flower to the hat.

I loved this pattern because it is so easy. The yoke can be knit both round and square and for the skirt part you can use different stitches. To make the legs, divide the skirt in half and then knit three rows of ribbing stitch in each of the halves.

To go with the bloomers, I knitted a basic beanie that I will later adorn with some applique. Knitting for babies is something that touches me, each stitch is made with love, tenderness and the emotion of imagining that little creature wearing what we are knitting; which has made me want to knit many more garments.
