Vitamina liposoluble - fat soluble vitamin

Vitamins are essential nutrients that intervene in different physiological and metabolic processes of the body, they help strengthen the immune system which benefits in the prevention of diseases, helps maintain the function of bones and muscles, although it is true that our body cannot produce vitamins by itself in this way its input is through the intake of foods rich in vitamins including vegetables, dairy and meat.
Currently, especially due to the pandemic, I have been able to observe how a large number of people are looking for options such as vitamin supplements in order to prevent viruses such as Covid-19, the flu, among other diseases, many of these people believe that by consuming vitamins in excess or apply vitamin cocktails can be healthy and disease free, which is completely wrong, most people have misconceptions about the use of vitamins.
There are two groups of vitamins, among them we have the water-soluble ones such as vitamin B1, B2, B3, B9, vitamin C among others, these can be found in vegetables, fruits, meats, once they are absorbed to be used in the body, the rest is eliminated through urine, fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, K, are stored at the level of adipose tissue, excessive consumption of these vitamins in people who do not have deficiencies or deficits of them can present different manifestations at the level of the different systems.
In the case of water-soluble vitamins, the excess in the body can cause gastrointestinal manifestations such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, on the other hand, when accumulated, it can affect the renal system, generating the formation of kidney stones, it can also affect liver function.
In the fat-soluble ones, it can occur: headaches, scalp disorders, hypercalcemia, joint pain, vomiting, kidney and liver function can be affected, many times we can feel tired, weak, you can frequently have flu, however it is not a reason to self-medicate with excess vitamins, it is advisable to go to the doctor for the respective assessment, vitamins can only be indicated in cases of avitaminosis, in patients with deficits of the same, in the case of hypervitaminosis it can lead to health problems which can be from a mild to severe form.
