My son is 13 years old, a pre-teen lover of games, technology and mathematics, he surprised me a couple of months ago by saying that his dream profession was to be a famous influencer to help his parents who were already entering adulthood, but as he did not have the necessary equipment to do so, he would be a botanist, this way he would help the planet and raise the money to at least buy a computer to start in the virtual world.

His position seemed very noble to me, especially because of the current difficult situation we are living in, in which a blow of life made us practically bankrupt; his position made me not only take a step beyond the fateful situation that the crisis of the country and its unscrupulous people put us in, but it also forced me to learn about the interesting world of nature as well.

According to the educaweb portal a botanist is one who:

"[...] they study plant life in all its stages. They observe how and where plants grow, study their cells, and investigate the impact that chemicals and diseases have on them. Botanists work in different fields, using their knowledge to benefit conservation work, agriculture and industry, for example."

A trade outside of technology but it borders on something he once told me "I will find the cure for cancer"; and I said why not? The great geniuses of history have had their vision from a young age.

Sebastian is our only son and closed the factory, we have decided to support him in his worldview of life and more in this case that will pleasantly serve to balance his time in networks and computer equipment.

Therefore, to water his dreams we have taken over the care of a small lot of 12 hectares that we acquired in 2020 and we started to build a garden where we see the main fundamentals and qualities of plants, directly in their ecosystem.

In this way we obtain plants that have been donated to us by friends, family and neighbors and we investigate their characteristics and qualities, while we observe their growth and life cycles.

Nature is not like the virtual world, there are no accelerators for the seed to be born before its time, if you miss the lunar cycle of planting, pruning and transplanting you have to wait a number of days until the ideal moment returns.

You will not see the fruits just around the corner, you must have the constancy and patience so that when the time comes you can feel proud of your garden or orchard.

It is difficult for a child growing up in the midst of increasingly ephemeral social networks, to prepare emotionally for a blow like those with which life can surprise us, but I have great faith in this process, day by day we will narrate through this medium to show you the trajectory of the growth of a child becoming a botanist, the economic recovery of the child's parents or who knows even the cure of cancer.

Mi hijo tiene 13 años, un preadolescente amante de los juegos, la tecnología y las matemáticas él, me sorprendió hace un par de meses diciendo que la profesión que soñaba era ser un influencer famoso para ayudar a sus padres que ya entraban en la fase adulta, pero como no contaba con los equipos necesarios para hacerlo, sería botánico, de esta forma ayudaría al planeta y reuniría el dinero para al menos comprar una computadora con que iniciarse en el mundo virtual.

Su postura me pareció muy noble en especial por la difícil situación actual que vivimos en que un golpe de la vida nos hizo quedar prácticamente en bancarrota; su postura me hizo no sólo dar un paso más allá de la fatídica situación que nos colocó la crisis del país y sus personas inescrupulosas, sino que además me obligó a aprender también sobre el interesante mundo de la naturaleza.

Según el portal educaweb un botánico son aquellos que:

“[…] estudian la vida de las plantas en todos sus estadios. Observan cómo y dónde crecen las plantas, estudian sus células, e investigan el impacto que los productos químicos y las enfermedades tienen sobre ellas. Los botánicos trabajan en distintos campos, utilizando sus conocimientos en beneficio de los trabajos de conservación, la agricultura y la industria, por ejemplo.”

Un oficio fuera de la tecnología pero colinda con algo que me dijo una vez “Yo encontraré la cura del cáncer”; y dije ¿Por qué no? Los grandes genios de la historia han tenido su visión desde jóvenes.

Sebastián es nuestro hijo único y cerrada la fábrica, hemos decidido apoyarle en su cosmovisión de vida y más en este caso que gratamente servirá para equilibrar su tiempo en redes y equipos informáticos.

Por eso, para regar sus sueños hemos retomado el cuidado de un pequeño lote de 12 hectáreas que adquirimos en el año 2020 y empezamos a construir un jardín donde vemos los principales fundamentos y cualidades de las plantas, directo en su ecosistema.

Así vamos obteniendo plantas que nos han donado amigos, familiares y vecinos e investigamos sus características y cualidades, mientras vamos observando su crecimiento y ciclos vitales.

La naturaleza no es como el mundo virtual, no existen aceleradores para que la semilla nazca antes de su tiempo, si pierdes el ciclo lunar de siembra, poda y trasplante te toca esperar una cantidad de días hasta que el momento ideal regrese.

Los frutos tampoco los ves a la vuelta de la esquina, debes tener la constancia y la paciencia para que llegado el momento puedas sentirte orgulloso de tu jardín o huerta.

	En la Botanica no existen los atajos...

Es difícil para un niño creciendo en medio de redes sociales cada vez más efímeras, prepararse emocionalmente para un golpe como aquellos con que la vida puede sorprendernos, pero tengo mucha fe en este proceso, día a día iremos narrándoles a través de este medio para enseñarles la trayectoria del crecimiento de un niño convirtiéndose en botánico, la recuperación económica de los padres del niño o quien sabe hasta la cura del cáncer.
