As you know, in the DreemPort Challenge each week, we shine the light on communities in Hive that are doing well in engaging writers, encouraging consistency, and forming friendships. In my opinion, one of the BEST ways that communities do this is through the challenges they offer. For us, we would rather NOT reinvent the wheel - but rather come alongside those who are already doing it well.

But one of the things that we HAVEN'T seen... is something that we really enjoy bringing to the platform each week.

And that is... our Preferred Platform of the Week!

This is super fun for me - because I was a cheerleader! hahaha (don't make me break out that picture CUZ I'LL DO IT! 🤣)

AND ONE OF THE BEST PARTS of being a cheerleader, was CHEERING ON YOUR TEAM!!!

Remember that feeling in high school?

Thinking that YOU had the best team and YOUR CHEERS were helping them to do their best, achieve that championship, head to nationals? hahaha In some ways, those cheers really DID do that! The reason why "HOME COURT ADVANTAGE" is real - is because MORE FANS show up to morally support that team!

So how does this come into play for the DreemPort Challenge??

When the posts come in - the WRITERS of those posts for the Challenge will tell us WHICH FRONT END/ PLATFORM they used to submit their posts.

This helps spread the word about the platforms that are out there! (do you know that there are some people who don't realize that they can submit posts to the Hive blockchain with OTHER front ends?)
Open the discussion for WHICH really is the best - and WHY! When people see what front end (or platform!!! because we DO have other platforms that compete on DreemPort!) are being represented, it builds curiosity!

HOLD ON DREEMSTEEM. Are you saying DreemPort supports platforms like medium.com, vocal.com, read.cash? HOW DOES THAT HELP HIVE???

I'll tell you how it helps Hive. And make no mistake about it - I think Hive is the best option out there.... BUT. Don't you think Apple kept Microsoft on their toes? and vice versa? Don't you think that people get complacent when they think they're the ONLY real option and have NO reason to keep striving? Hive is doing amazing - I think it's a GOOD thing to stay pushing forward, knowing that there are OTHER OPTIONS that are pushing forward too!

and 3. If the platform YOU use - wins Prefered Platform of the Week - YOU SHARE IN THE SPOILS! Yep. That's right - so YOU are motivated to not only cheer on your platform and declare your loyalty! hahaha but you can even recruit more writers to come join on that ALSO share the love for that front end! So that your FAVORITE frontend/platform can TAKE THE CROWN that week. Rally your fellow cheerleaders. Join the challenge. Win tokens. Bring glory and fame to your favorite frontend/ platform.
