Saturday, a beautiful and calm day Saturday. I partly questioned myself about the pair that I keep an online diary, recording even days when nothing remarkable happens, that would not be good for attracting readers, but after thinking about it for a bit, I remind myself that I started to write this log as a tool during the beginning of #quarantine to keep my mind stable and put things in perspective. Of course, by that time, I thought that the time that would pass would be, as the name of the measure says, about 40 days approximately... look at you, we have already completed the 827th day since that measure was announced in # Venezuela, as a measure to face and control the #COVID-19 #pandemic... so if we put it that way, we have already gone through about 20 quarantines... and we are already in quarantine 21.
Anyway, half of my weekend has already passed, and I like everything to be quiet, so this report is simply a way to start thinking about what to post each day and keep a record of what I'm still here, what I'm still we are with #life. It may sound dramatic, but it is that during a part of the pandemic, I found out surprisingly of the death of people I knew, and I was impressed, so I started this and now I really keep it out of stubbornness... or can be which is that, after all, It has become a kind of habit. I wonder what I will do with this record when the quarantine is officially lifted in this country.
I guess I'll know when that time comes, it's kind of like the phrase that: We'll cross the bridge when we get to the bridge. Which is often used to say that it is not very useful to worry or worry more about things that are not yet in the present and may never be.
Looking at the things in #History to complete today's record, I found a date that caught my attention: Today, in 1815, the Napoleonic troops were defeated by the Seventh Coalition in the vicinity of Waterloo (actuality Belgium), ending the Emperor Bonaparte's dreams of conquest, and changing the course of Western world history. In reality, the battles are usually a matter of several days, but there is one of those days that is decisive and determines the irreversible success or failure of the situation between the sides, that was what happened on that day, the French imperial troops suffered for crushing defeat for the first time and were crushed by the combined forces of Great Britain, Austria, Russia, Prussia and the Netherlands (The Seventh Coalition), which is to say that all the European powers that managed to agree in Vienna contributed troops and equipment to face the fearsome and incredible Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, after this man managed to escape from his exile on the island of Elba.
A bloody day, without a doubt, perhaps for this reason, in the last century (1974), when the musical group #ABBA presented their song #Waterloo, they were harshly criticized by their countrymen for title a #song with the name of a field of battle... Well, I like their songs and their #music, so I'm not going to criticize them, but let's say that I understand that such a conservative society found it very uncomfortable, which was perceived as a lack of respect for the dead.

Sábado, un hermoso y calmado día sábado. En parte me cuestioné a mi mismo sobre el par que llevo un diario en línea, registrando incluso días en los que no sucede nada resaltante, eso no sería bueno para atraer lectores, pero luego de pensarlo un poco, me recuerdo a mi mismo que comencé a escribir este registro como una herramienta durante el inicio de la #Cuarentena para mantener mi mente estable y poner las cosas en perspectiva. Claro, para ese momento, yo creía que el tiempo que pasaría sería, tal como lo dice el nombre de la medida, unos 40 días aproximadamente... mira tú que ya cumplimos el día 827 desde que se dio el anuncio esa medida en #Venezuela, como una medida para enfrentar y controlar la #pandemia de #Covid19... así que si lo ponemos de esa manera, hemos pasado ya por unas 20 cuarentenas y ya estamos en la cuarentena 21.
En fin, que mi fin de semana ya ha trascurrido por la mitad y me agrada que todo esté tranquilo, así que este reporte es simplemente una manera de ponerme a pensar en que publicar cada día y llevar un registro de que sigo acá, que aún estamos con #vida. Puede sonar dramático, pero es que durante una parte de la pandemia, me enteraba de manera sorpresiva de la muerte de gente que conocía y me quedé impresionado, así que comencé con esto y ya de verdad que lo mantengo por terquedad... o puede que sea que, a fin de cuentas, lo he convertido en una especie de costumbre. Me pregunto que haré con este registro cuando la cuarentena sea oficialmente levantada en este país.
Supongo que lo sabré cuando llegue ese momento, es algo así como la frase de que: Cruzaremos el puente cuando lleguemos al puente. Que se suele usar para decir que no es muy útil angustiarse o preocuparse de más por cosas que aún no están en el presente y puede que nunca lo estén.
Viendo en las cosas de la #Historia para completar el registro de hoy, encontré una fecha que me llamó la atención: Hoy, en 1815, las tropas napoleónicas fueron derrotadas por la Séptima Coalición en las proximidades de Waterloo (actual Bélgica), dando fin a los sueños de conquista del emperador Bonaparte y cambiando el curso de la historia del mundo occidental. En realidad, las batallas suelen ser cosa de varios días, pero hay alguno de esos días que resulta decisivo y determina el éxito o fracaso irreversible de la situación entre los bandos, eso fue lo que sucedió en ese día, las tropas imperiales francesas sufrieron por primera vez una derrota aplastante y fueron arroyadas por las fuerzas conjuntas de Gran Bretaña, Austria, Rusia, Prusia y los Países Bajos (La Séptima Coalición), lo que equivale a decir que todas las potencias europeas que lograron ponerse de acuerdo en Viena aportaron tropas y equipos para enfrentar al temible e increíble Emperador Napoleón Bonaparte, luego de que este hombre lograra escapar de su exilio en la isla de Elba.
Un día sangriento, sin lugar a dudas, quizás por eso, en el siglo pasado (1974), cuando el grupo musical #ABBA presentó su canción #Waterloo, fueron duramente criticados por sus coterráneos por titular una #cancion con el nombre de un campo de batalla... Bueno, a mí me gustan sus canciones y su #musica, así que no los voy a criticar, pero si digamos que entiendo que a una sociedad tan conservadora le resultó muy incómodo, lo que fue percibido como una falta de respeto por los muertos.
Bien, eso sería todo por hoy, te deseo que tengas un buen resto de fin de semana, que lo pases bien y disfrutes, y también que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
