Finally I have some more art to post, and currently working on more stuff that I can post soon. Feels good, considering a lot of the time I have to keep stuff secret. xD
This is a cover artwork I made for another Webnovel author, Elyon. These guys with nicknames that some may feel compelled to not take seriously are in fact quite serious... this book has almost 10 million reads and 300 chapters. :D
So, the cover is for a specific chapter, where the main character travels to fight Surtr, the norse God, as the latter starts Ragnarok.
I'd already done a work similar to this a few years ago and I truly love the norse lore so it's always great to have the opportunity to work on it. Also this time I can compete with myself and try to make it better than the old one. :P
Lately I'm using so much 3D that is hard to create animations, as a lot of the process happens in 3D software and I don't have the habit of taking snapshots, but here's the original render. Figures were posed in Daz and imported into Blender for rendering. I guess it looks like a lot went on in Photoshop but... truth is the process was pretty fast there.
I did make everything black and white and added color using Color Balance, which makes the whole thing so much easier, though only works in very specific situations like this. xD
Here's my old work of Surtr. Not sure how comparable they are but anyway...
