I love dragonflies just like butterflies. Or maybe a little better because they’re much gentler, they can even land on my hand than some kind of mini helicopter. Close up, they're really alien. My dragonfly isn’t exactly like it was in reality, i drew it from memory.
Afterwards, i noticed that its wings were a little shorter and wider than those of a real dragonfly, a bit butterfly-like. No problem, it fits a lot in playful art.
It doesn't really show that it's a neurography either. But the starting graphite drawing shows it.
Now let's see how to make it!
I used A/4 Fabriano paper, 300g, fixed with tape on a board, painted with Sonnet watercolor, then used white gel pen and Art Pen with black ink.
I drew the dragonfly first, then the background.
The first layer of paint is pale blue and pink.
At the bottom I started working out the details.
I tried the white jelly pen on it and it worked. I realized that this tool is irreplaceable, so I will continue to buy it in the future.
Then came the leaves and flowers.
And here in all its splendor. I photographed this already this morning because the lights are much better than the lamp lights at night.
The details show that I used light pen strokes.
