Coffee shop, my favourite destination where I often spend time enjoying and working on my laptop in every my journey. I have dropped by many kinds of café, from simple to luxury one.

😁Today, on the occasion of going back my hometown, I have an opportunity to visit another coffee which has different style with the previous ones. This café give me a strong emotion because it presents the vibe and environment of tropical forest which a lot of huge ornamental plants coming from oversea. The owner named it “Monagnards Coffee”.

In the past, the coffee had only one stilt house which is not only a place for guest drinking coffee but also is a great accommodation for the tourists who visit Dakmil town.

Time has changed and everything has changed too. The owner expanded the café by adding a roofstop in the 2nd floor, and a house which is full of plants and covered by glass.

The most thing makes me impressive is about the plants

It seems like the owner likes the ornamental plants so much. He planted a plenty of Monstera Deliciosa trees around the shop and now they looks so huge in my eyes. I have a thought that I am in the tropical garden when visiting here.

Inside the house of plants, there are some small corners which were decorated by the nature style. He simply added some small chair made from wood with some plain tables between the trees, it brings to me a feeling of living in the forest.

He also collected a lot of ancient furnitures which evidence from the 1970s such as radio, typewriter,…and it obviously becomes the great things to decorate for his café.

The café has two styles as I see: the vintage style and the mordern one.
In the opposite with the house of plants is his roasting factory.

After collecting and processing coffee, he starts roasting and grounding coffee on site then packing or making cofee for guests.

The café has also a large space in the front yard which is suitable for catching some rays in the morning or shoot the breeze with friends. For me, I always go to the café alone, a small and quiet corner is my choice ever.

I walk to the stilt house to pick up a place to take a rest after ordering a glass of combocha with red wine. I did not know why I choose it though it is extremely strange for me and drinking a glass of wine in the morning seems not quite in place.

Besides the stilt house, there are two paths full of shadow and trees. I choose a site to have an overview of things, next to a girl who is studying online in a corner.

It seems like a wooden house in the old days where the bookshelf, ancient furnitures drives us to the past. This space is appropriate to the ones who do not smoke and love stillness.

He also has some beautiful sewing machine and some paraffin lamps, it recalls a lot of childhood memories from me. When I was a child, my family used this oil lamp to have the light in the night because we lived in the remote area where the electricity was not connected up to a house. It made my childhood!!!

The only thing made me quite uncomfortable here is about the mosquito. I cannot enjoy my glass of combocha wine completely when the mosquito bits my skin a lot. To get rid of it, sitting in the front yard is a great idea. At least the sun and wind can drive away mosquito for me.

There is no such an absolute perfect place for us if we want to come back to the nature. Though mosquito disturbs me but this thing does not stop my liking to this coffee shop.

My hometown is so delightful and reticent at night but I have no more time to enjoy it. The bus rolls to the highway taking me somewhere during the night, I try to close my eyes till the dawn. In the end, my life is the trips!
