I will dedicate today's post to probably one of the most beautiful capitals in the world - Amsterdam. Well, to be more precise, the main museum of the city - the Rijksmuseum.

Сьогоднішній пост я присвячу, мабуть, одній із найпрекрасніших столиць світу - Амстердаму. Ну а якщо бути точнішою, головному музею міста - Рейксмузею.

In general, the Rijksmuseum was a must-see in Amsterdam. We went with the aim of first going to this museum and the Van Gogh Museum, and then walking around the city itself.

Взагалі, Рейксмузей був обов'язковим місцем відвідування в Амстердамі. Ми їхали з метою спочатку сходити у цей музей та Музей Ван Гога, а вже потім гуляти самим містом.

As soon as we put the car in the parking lot, we immediately set off in the direction of the Rijksmuseum, without even stopping to take a photo.

Як тільки ми поставили машину на парковку, то одразу вирушили у напрямку Рейксмузею, не зупиняючись навіть на фото.

It is impossible not to notice this majestic architectural structure! See for yourself how large-scale it is.

Не помітити цю величну архітектурну споруду неможливо! Самі погляньте, яка вона масштабна.

The Rijksmuseum is located on Museum Square, which is very convenient. The Moco Museum of Contemporary Art is nearby, and the Van Gogh Museum is a little further away. It is simply a paradise for tourists, because you don't have to run from one end of the city to the other to get to the key museums of the city.

Рейксмузей розташований на Музейній площі, що дуже зручно. Поряд знаходиться музей сучасного мистецтва Moco, а трохи далі Музей Ван Гога. Це просто рай для туристів, адже не треба бігти з одного кінця міста в інший, щоб потрапити у ключові музеї міста.

The building of the Rijksmuseum resembles a huge old palace. This impression is created not only because of the style in which it is completed, but also because of this authentic red brick, which in itself makes all buildings visually older (in a good sense of the word).

Будівля Рейксмузеуму нагадує величезний старовинний палац. Таке враження складається не тільки з-за стилю, в якому він виповнений, а й з-за цієї автентичної червоної цегли, яка сама по собі робить усі будівлі візуально старішими (у хорошому сенсі цього слова).

Overall, the Rijksmuseum is a harmonious part of Amsterdam's architectural landscape. Red-brown brick is something without which it is impossible to imagine the Netherlands.

Загалом, Рейксмузеум є гармонійною частиною архітектурного ландшафту Амстердаму. Червоно-коричнева цегла - це те, без чого неможливо уявити Нідерланди.

The building itself, as you have already noticed, is built in a historical style with a Gothic bent. This is immediately visible on the roof, windows and stained glass windows.

Сама будівля, як ви уже помітили, побудована в історичному стилі з нахилом у готику. Це відразу видно по дахові, вікнах та вітражах.

What a disappointment it was when we couldn't get inside the museum itself! The problem was that all the tickets were sold two days in advance. And we were also informed that at the moment you can buy a ticket only online. Such cases.

Яке ж було розчарування, коли ми не змогли потрапити всередину самого музею! Проблема полягала в тому, що всі квитки розібрали аж на два дні вперед. А ще нам повідомили, що у даний час придбати квиток можна тільки онлайн. Такі справи.

By the way, the security guard, seeing that we are ukrainians, kindly informed us that we can visit the museum for free, we just need to reserve a date and time. We are very grateful to the man for telling us about it and we were able to save more than 60 euros.

До речі, охоронець, побачивши, що ми українці люб'язно повідомив, що ми можемо відвідати музей безкоштовно, потрібно лише забронювати дату та час. Ми дуже вдячні тому чоловіку за те, що сказав про це, і ми змогли зекономити більше 60 євро.

After we failed to get to either the Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum, the decision was made to come to Amsterdam again. And let me tell you, it was definitely the best decision!

Після того як нам не вдалося потрапити ані в Рейкмузей, ані в музей Ван Гога, було прийняте рішення приїхати до Амстердаму ще раз. І я скажу вам, що це було, безперечно, найкраще рішення!

Well, we decided go to the museum garden at least (free entrance there).

Що ж, ми вирішили хоча б сходити у музейний сад (там вільний вхід).

Words cannot describe how beautiful he is!
A place where you can buy a drink and sit quietly in the shade near flowers or a fountain and at the same time contemplate the majestic building of the museum. You can look at the architecture for a very long time. The mosaics and plaques themselves are fantastic!

Словами не описати, який він прекрасний!
Місце, де можна купити собі напій та спокійно посидіти у затінку біля квітів чи фонтану і при цьому споглядати на величну споруду музею. Архітектуру можна роздивлятися дуже довго. Самі мозаїки й таблички чого тільки варті!

А це у своїй улюбленій сукні серед саду) Яка ж я тоді щаслива була, ви не уявляєте.

And this photo was taken near one of the entrances to the garden. As you can see, visitors are immediately greeted by a sculpture. I no longer remember who was embodied in it, but the fact that it is extremely beautiful is a fact!

А ось це фото зроблене біля одного з входів у сад. Як бачите, гостей тут одразу зустрічає скульптура. Я вже не пам'ятаю, хто був втілений у ній, але те, що вона надзвичайно гарна - це факт!

А на цьому фото видно фонтан. Його фішкою є те, що усередину можна ставати. Багато людей любить там фотографуватися.

And for the last photo, where I sat down to rest. I really love this photo, because in it I am happy and "real".
Even though we didn't manage to get into the museum itself, we were able to enjoy the architecture and the adjacent garden.

І на останок фото, де я сіла перепочити. Я дуже люблю цю світлину, адже на ній я щаслива та "справжня".

Навіть попри те, що нам не вдалося потрапити у сам музей, ми змогли насолодитися архітектурою та прилеглим до нього садом.
