In our journey as writers, we all face various kinds of situations and circumstances, sometimes happy and sometimes sad. we get to experience all of them. But from them all, how many would you like to remember for a lifetime?Definitely, not the sad moments that hold pain. Today, I will like to share with you my best moments on Hive, memories I will like to remember forever, times when I could look back and smile with a grateful heart that I joined Hive. My First Payout
After a month of hard work, the moment when you get your first payment is unforgettable. But then, this wasn't like the usual job where you get paid after wearing out your bones with just a little to save after paying debts. It came as a payment for learning and sharing.
Years before I joined Hive, I was always broke. I asked my parents money for any little thing I wanted to buy. I know they were tired but did not attempt to tell me so that I wouldn't feel bad. At one point I felt I was old enough and should be financially independent, but there was no job, and I had no choice but to fall back on them for my needs. After I joined Hive August 2020, that feeling of having my first payout was heaven. Yes, that was the first money I earned by myself after a very long time. The feeling that my parents will be proud I have started to earn money on my own made me proud and happy. I was eager to tell the world the man I am becoming through the hive platform.
Becoming A Minnow
While I kept growing on the platform, I wasn't as happy as when I turned into a minnow, it showed I was progressing and had gained myself a promotion. One thing that makes me happy in life is when I notice a progressive growth.
I have heard stories on how becoming a minnow was not an easy task, "it requires determination and consistency" they say. At first I wondered if I was ever going to become a minnow. As much as I wanted to grow, the fear of becoming stagnant overcrowded my thoughts, but then, I decided to push hoping I will reach my desired goal.
If you wonder whether I got there, yes I did, and above, and it was one of my beautiful moments on hive. I had to make a post announcing my growth. That first achievement made me believe it was possible to reach any height.
Making Impact
My two major genres of writing are stories and motivational writings. Many times people have commented on how inspiring my articles are, but recently, one of my articles on motivation made a writer make a resolution to avoid procrastination. The wonderful thing was when she made a post telling how impactful my message was to her. She said she felt like I was talking to her directly while she read through the article. Going through that writing made me happy I could make an impact in someone's life through writing and this is possible because I joined Hive. Hive made it possible to speak to someone from afar, making it possible to make an impact,that feeling was blissful.
