The very first word in Turkish that our friend told us when we arrived in Kemer was "İndirim", which means discount )))
He said that this is the main word in Turkey :) And of course: merhaba (hello), teşekkür ederim (thank you) ...
With such an important vocabulary, we began our communication with the Turks :) We also know a little English and know Russian well. It turned out that most Turks know Russian better than English. However, in the supermarket we need almost no language: card or cash? Bag? - It's enough.

But once friends told us that there is a market in Kemer on Mondays and where you can buy everything much cheaper than the supermarket, and we went to investigate. Here is my Victoria remembered the magic word: İndirim :)
We were fascinated by colorful, diverse, fresh, delicious assortment!
I remembered how I went on the market in Ukraine and loved buying fresh herbs and vegetables in our rural housewives. By the way there I never bargained. Because I know the price of labor in agriculture, especially the price of cream, milk. Keep cow in Ukraine - is in my opinion very hard work !!!

The first place we passed - a fish, crabs, shrimp and other seafood. But we understood that if you buy fish here and prepare yourself, it will not really cheaper than we sometimes go eat it in the restaurant. Especially my daughter does not like fish, just me) So we passed by this tray, despite persistent Invite friendly sellers!

I remembered how I went on the market in Ukraine and loved buying fresh herbs and vegetables in our rural housewives. By the way there I never did not ask for a discount. Because I know the price of labor in agriculture, especially the price of cream, milk. Keep cow in Ukraine - is in my opinion very hard work !!!
But I was told that ask for a discount in Turkey required. And Victoria liked this process)))
However, not all people agreed to give a discount)
Many products really were cheaper: oranges, tomatoes, herbs. For example, if a supermarket cherry tomatoes can be purchased for 29 pounds, then the market they are 10 - 20 lira. Also oranges 8 instead of 11.

I noticed similarities between people engaged in agriculture in Ukraine and Turkey - they are easy, happy, friendly farmers who love their lives :)
When we were flying in an airplane, we saw that the Turkish land covered with strange shiny striped structures, we did not know then what it is. We now know that this is the greenhouse. It is too early fresh herbs: dill, lettuce, spinach and strawberries.

So we bought what we love most: strawberries in May is 20 pounds, 40 pounds cherries, small melons for 10 lire, avocado 🥑 - 7 - 8 pounds per 1 unit. Green vegetables cheaper than the supermarket, very fresh. Now we go to the market every Monday Kemer :)

On the last photo you can see flowers immortelle I love to gather in Ukraine too. There are many similarities between Ukraine and Turkey. But the main thing is the welcoming friendly people. Perhaps that's why Ukrainian are feel good here!
And when will the victory and peace in my country and I will return home, I will always remember with affection my second home Kemer!
