We belong to heaven

When we say all promises in the Word of God has already been fulfilled in us that are new creation, there are those people that ask, “how about heaven? They ask if He didn't promised us heaven?” The answer is; Heaven isn’t a promise, because it's where we were born: “we come to mount Sion, and to the living God's city, the heavenly Jerusalem, and where numbers of Angels are with us to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven…” (Hebrews 12:22-23).

Heaven is our nationality, “We shall be citizens of heaven" is an understatement . We Christians are bona fide citizen of heaven NOW. Remember the words of Lord Jesus Christ in John 8:23; He told the Jews that He's from above, when He said that, He was telling then where He originate from. So, concerning us, He said that, we are not of this world, despite the fact that we live in this world. And it's simply because the Christian lives in two worlds in the same period of time.

Let's see an instance: maybe, you are a citizen of Canada and you in the Saudi Arabia. Because you are not living in the United States doesn’t cancel your Canadian citizenship, and it does it make your American citizenship a vow or a promise. So, because you are in the earth doesn't rule you out from enjoying all the favour, the rights and freelage of your citizenship in heaven. Heaven is our home according to the Bible; Heaven is our own. We were born there, and we would end there!

You would observe in psalm 87:4-5 that the Bible verses are referring to the new creation that is born in Zion, which is the heavenly Jerusalem in Hebrews 12:22. In the new birth; the born again, we were sent into the Kingdom of God's Love Son (Colossians 1:13). This is not a vow or a promise; it's what is already done. This is a kingdom of heaven, and works from heaven.
