Other Niche Communities Curation Report #316

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 316th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Feathered Friday Morning

I went to see the doctor in the morning. Nothing to worry about, just a regular visit to get my medicine prescription for the high blood pressure. I took the camera with me to make some pictures of the sport facilities next to the clinic for my future post for the Introduce Your City Community. This is a new community with interesting contests.

I did not expect to see any birds around, but I was surprised by the chirps and the number of little birds feeding on seeds and frolicking. First to catch my eye was the male siskin.

Market Friday / Visit to Phezulu Curio Shop

Peter and I had a date with @lizelle and her hubby Arthur yesterday, we were suppose to go to the Chef School in the Valley of a Thousand Hills a few kilometers from where we live for lunch, only to find they were closed on a Thursday, feeling disappointed and undecided on what to do or where to go, Peter suggested Phe-Zulu Safari Park which was just around the corner from the Chef's School. We weren't to sure on what to expect as we hadn't been there for many years. No! we didn't go hunting today or go on a Safari tour, lol!! We just visited the Curio Shop in the park.

I am a Guide and apprentice

I am amazed how the days go by so fast, the week is a blink of an eye, sometimes I don't get a chance to enjoy the community posts, or leave a comment, everything is so fast and at home my connection is unstable. It only allows me to connect in the early morning and that is exhausting.

Organizing Our Own Event: Gender Reveal Party

After weeks of planning, we came up with a pastel motif for the party. The event would be a gender reveal. It took days to prepare everything for the event: the food menu, going to different markets and department stores to canvass for prices, choosing the right decoration for the chosen theme, the games we would have, going through the flow of the program and revising it five to six times. Making our invitation, which we revised like five times until we decided to go with this one.

Processing Walnuts

The nuts were soaked overnight and rinsed a few times to remove debris and toxins. It's always best to soak nuts, seeds and grains before consuming.

I am leaving guitar for drums... It can't be true!

Since I was very young I have been a fan of dozens of Rock bands and many styles within that genre; and as we all know, the drums are a basic and fundamental instrument for it, there is no good Rock or Heavy Metal band that doesn't have a good drummer.

UPDATE MY FATHER'S GARDEN

The rows of small trees are neatly arranged and aligned with a beautiful green color. My father must have taken good care of them because not a single leaf was mothed. Of course, because he considers the garden as his brainchild.

The pots of spider plants also gave off white flowers, very small and cute. I didn't know before that this plant would flower. Now I have admired the beautiful small flowers of this plant. They look like snowflakes, so cute.

Going through the long road of creative blockage

It's been a while since I've stopped by to post an illustration. I lasted a long time to do it, you know that anxiety, plays dirty tricks in the head. I started this illustration and I was blocked, with the blocking, I was afraid to continue it and I didn't like it. I opened photoshop, saw the illustration and then closed the program. Friends, I was so afraid to continue it, so much that you can't imagine. Someone told me "draw for you" and with that I started, I had no direction, I didn't know what to do, so I started on this path called "creative block" inside there are existential crises, anxiety, fear of how the illustration will be. I am grateful to be here and to be able to tell you how I have been feeling these days.

The border between Bulgaria and North Macedonia ... 2252 meters above sea level!

You can do this in the Osogovo mountain and in particular on Ruen peak. All you have to do is climb 2252 meters above sea level.

On one side is Bulgaria, on the other is Northern Macedonia. We even met Macedonians who said that they often make excursions between the two countries on foot.
