Other Niche Communities Curation Report #317

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 317th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Alaskan Limited Release Midnight Haze IPA vs. Pelican Pilsner

The alcohol content isn't too high at a mere 6%. The flavor is a blend of hoppy IPA and malty porter, though. I don't hate it, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to everyone. At least it's not just another can of carbonated pine resin like other northwest breweries churn out. Kudos for trying something unique.

Part[1]The dark awakening

Immersed in the virtual world, the ignorance towards the rest of the world is present in Kelvin, a boy sitting at a table in the most popular coffee shop with night service in the city, it's 2am.

Beer Saturday : Young Blood Beer's Enemies of the Night

Today was a long Saturday, making this #beersaturday tasting very welcomed (and delicious). I returned yet again to my favorite liquor store in Minnesota and found this new offering from another Wisconsin brewery I had not heard of beer. The name of the brewery is Young Blood Beer Company, and if the rest of their offerings are as good as this one, it might be a brewery I need to support going forward.

Think before act : Common sense!

I haven't traveled in a long time, lately I've been busy with piling up work, so my mind is a little stuck and bored. Quietly, I sat in the moonlight with a can of coke. My mind wants to travel and enjoy the fresh air in a different place, I think this way my mind becomes refreshed.

My olfactory training to regain my sense of smell and flavours

It’s been a week since a strong cold completely took away my sense of smell. It’s almost 100% that I went through c.o.v.i.d. I am grateful to my immune system for not having any more serious symptoms. However, this type of anosmia is not the same as the loss of smell caused by colds. While in the case of common cold, nasal congestion causes the smell to weaken and disappear, here the olfactory nerves are damaged. As a result, one is unable to feel any smells and flavours. Appetite is also significantly reduced and this can lead to weight loss and deficiency diseases. It can also be dangerous if you do not smell rotten food, smell gas or smoke.

I made such a disaster in the garden. #GardenJournal The spring is nearly over.

Hello everybody! I hope that all of you are having a wonderful weekend so far. My days have been a little too filled with stress lately, and that is why I got into a weird cycle of procrastination, playing a lot of video games, eating a lot of junk food, and working, working, working.

Autumn garden update

While the trees are making their transition into winter, dropping golden leaves down upon us like rain, over in our garden there is always something to focus on which is just at the beginning of its life cycle, giving a certain spring-like feeling. A feeling I would like to share with you now 🌱

Monomad | hermit crab or clawed sea conch

On a very sunny afternoon I spend my rest time on the beach, I always see sea snails on the shore, I am very interested in the uniqueness that they have, I even took some of them to take home, I used to often buy them and keep it in used bottles at home, to maintain this snail is very easy by releasing it in the grassy yard, when I was a child I did not know how to care for and proper food for this sea snail, if you keep it by releasing it in the grassy yard can survive for years, strangely this animal breathes with gills, but they will die if long in water, especially in fresh water, their gills are only useful when they drop their eggs in the sea.
