Have the imagination that you carried your neighbour’s a or two year old child and he suddenly bite your hand. You see the bite but you shrug it off as if nothing happened because he is just a child. Then while you were walking away, someone approached you and says, “I saw it when that child bite you; but did you even know if the child is HIV positive?” all of a sudden, your comportment changes; you began speaking in tongues and making series confessions.

In your thought, you are putting your faith to work, of which you are actually showing a lack of knowledge of who you are in Christ. God does not need you at such level. If you are aware of God and you know what you have inside you, and who you really are in Christ, you’ll be unmoved, despite of the new information they gave you about the child. This was what Apostle Paul knew and it made him so different among others. In Acts 28:3-6, that serpent that bit Apostle Paul was a poisonous one, and those people that were around him were expecting him to swell and die right there. But they were surprised to see Paul unharmed.

Apostle Paul didn’t even pay attention to the snake that bit him; the Bible says he shook it into the fire and kent on preaching the Gospel. You may say, “ if only you have the kind of faith Apostle Paul had!” but it was not faith that Apostle Paul demonstrated; it was the cognizance of God at work. He had the cognizance of who Lord Jesus Christ said the Christians are. In Mark 16:17-18, Lord Jesus Christ said, these are signs shall follow those that believe...if they drink any poisonous thing, it shall not hurt them....”

If any substance that's poisonous ever finds its way into your body, it may by accident or by intention, it won't have effect on you. All that you need is the correct and exact knowledge of the Word of God; this is what give you power over all things in life. Many people don’t have a faith difficulty, for all of us has faith (Romans 12:3). The problem is their lack of knowledge of who they are and what is their own in Christ. The knowledge of the Word of God gives you conviction of what's undeniable surpassing life of victory and dominion. This is the reason why you have to study and meditate on the Word of God all day.
