Good day from Romania, fellow HIVE users as well as dear readers outside of HIVE! For today's first special post, I decided to write a bit about how I perceive the political future of my home country, Romania, based on carefully analysing the latest opinion poll tables on Wikipedia here and here.

In a nutshell, it will be very red, that red that you feel like bumping in a wall red (and bumping in a red wall, literally)!

It will be very red (insofar as the current political projections show how it will be) and, frankly speaking, there is little I can do about it, other than vote for a minor party in order to lower a bit the percentage of the heir of the Romanian Communist Party (PCR) which is the Social Democratic Party (PSD), that is if I will still be around in 2024 in Romania (which isn't very likely, from my point of view, at least).

The problem is, on a long term basis, this state is wrecked, totally wrecked. Politically, economically, socially, etc. So does it seem to me at least. Hence a lot of Romanian citizens, who are also EU citizens, will emigrate in massive numbers (as they previously did) to better and more developed countries in the West. It will be yet another major exodus, very much unfortunately for many.

Hopefully though, after 50 more years, perhaps Romania will completely cut ties to Communism and be a modern, prosperous, and reformed state. But then it will be too late for me or people like me, now in their mid 20s.

Anyway, I had in mind going abroad a second time for quite a while now given the fact that this is my only solution in terms of building a better future for myself. And, with the help of God, I will be able to do it!

Until then, it will probably one more year that I will spend here, until I graduate from university. Wish me luck!
