Finding Blessings In The Crazy Sickness - Enjoy with Troy!

I have not scribbled a post in a while. Bust sometimes you have to go silent. One reason may be to not get drug down in the negativity of a sick world. Another may be if sickness actually strikes.

Sunday night I fell sick with chills and a sore throat from hell. I had other symptoms including a headache and light headedness. Wednesday I took a covid home test and it came up positive.

My doctor put me on the covid five day pill. My friend, George also brewed up some homemade HCQ that consisted of cooking grapefruit, lime and lemon peels. And I have been sleeping a lot.

Although it is hard to swallow anything and I have a sore throat from hell, I have gratitude in all of this.

  • My covid was caught in that five day time frame so I could have the pill
  • Because I no longer take seizure medication, I also was able to be on the covid pill.
  • The strain I have probably is not as strong as early on in the Covid cycle
  • I was able to tap into the knowledge of others who have had this shit to help me.
  • I did not have to be put on a ventilator or be entered in to a hospital.

Finding gratitude in the midst of sickness is a good thing. Knowing I was spared some of the pain is a blessing. There are more blogs for me to write. The sore throat from hell will go away and I may even loose weight. But my gratitude to God lives forever.

Time to go back to bed.
