So I was watching this web series yesterday, "Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhein" on Netflix. It is a thriller genre and circles around politics and how people get stuck in its charm.
Overall, the series is great. It underlines some real problems in India (and maybe such problems exist around the globe) which are actually ignored by the mass but those affected are in real trouble.

One thing that amazed me in the series and made me write this blog was the mention of Crypto currency. So in one of the episodes, the actor is looking for a killer to kill his wife and while he does, he comes across "Dark Web."
Dark Web, in the series, is defined as a place for killers and criminals. People can find criminals based on the kind of work they wish to get done and in turn they have to pay in "Mitcoins." Yes, so they have replaced bitcoin with bitcoin and value of 1 Mitcoin was around 7 Million.
It took my thoughts in 2 different directions.
- Obviously, the spread of crypto currency and the gaining popularity that finally people have started to recognize it as a financial asset.
- This one was actually quiet disturbing for me. The use of crypto currency for jobs like this, in the dark web. As we all talk about decentralization and transactions that cannot be tracked to one person, such heinous crimes can also be encouraged through its use.
But when I thought about it more, I realized every thing that exists comes with its own pros and cons. It's on us how we make the best use of it to meet our needs. One can use it for their benefit and if people really want to use it for offensive purposes, then the Governments will be bound to restrict it.
But overall, it was so exciting to see Mitcoins and Dar Web. I kind of fell more attached to the series after hearing these terminologies.
