Mexican Mural Music Monday

There is a mural I've been passing by a lot lately, and I've been wanting to present it for a while. It is super extensive, featuring lots of recognizable faces from the music industry. So instead of me giving a long explanation on who's who in this picture, I thought I'd turn it into a challenge and see how many of these famous people you can recognize. As you can probably tell, these are faces of internationally renowned musicians, though admittedly most of them are British or American, making it perfect for you guys, my English speaking readers! Plus, it is perfectly appropriate for Music Monday.

In order to minimize any unfair advantages, I will not even say anything about the muralists, the location, or the wall-painting itself. I'll leave all that to my follow-up post next week when I'm going to announce the winners. So let's jump right into the contest:

How Many of these Artists can you Identify?

That is the only question. There are 68 faces numbered in the entire mural (some numbers are in red to contrast it from the dark background). Some are huge, others tiny, some super easy, others quite tricky. Some of them are even harder to recognize due to the bad lighting. I tried to avoid this, but as you can see, one or the other musician is blanked out by the glare. So I added details and shots from other angles... still, it is how it is, making it all a bit challenging. But I suggest you just go ahead and give it your best shot. I'm sure you've already recognized at least a few of them! And in order to win you don't have to identify all of them, just more than any other contestant.

The contest closes on Monday, February 18th, at 11:59 p.m. CST (Mexico City time). The winners will be announced the following day.

The commenter who has identified the most faces correctly by the time the contest closes will be the winner, receiving the first prize, the next one the second, and the following the third. You may mention bands and projects the artist has participated in, but in order to win you'll need the name the of the individual musician. In case two or more contestants reach the same number of correct answers, the time their comment was submitted is going to break the tie. You can always edit your comments (until closing time) but the time of your last editing will be your time of submission. So what can you win?
