I saw this on an advert a while back and I am a fan of peanut butter and Marmite, so I thought it would only be fair to give this a try.

I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to open this and get stuck in. I don’t tend to have my peanut butter spread on anything. I just like to eat it straight out of the jar with a spoon. It satisfies my hunger, because it feels like it sticks my ribs together. So I took the lid off and gave it a smell. Yep, smells like Marmite, but will it taste like it? I took my spoon, dug it in and scooped out a half a teaspoon worth and shoved it in my mouth. Yuk!! This was so salty! I mean there’s salty and there’s ’salty!' It tasted like I had just taken a huge gulp of the sea with a bit of peanut butter and Marmite thrown into the mix. I couldn’t even bring myself to go in for another spoonful. I handed this straight back to my husband. Yes, I could taste peanuts and Marmite, but 'f * * * me sideways!' That was one of the most disgusting things I ever put in my mouth!

I wouldn’t recommend this at all. It’s just pure salt! Maybe it would taste better if it was spread on something… like a huge slice of bread or an oatmeal cracker, but this needs to be spread on something that needs to hide the saltiness. Never in a million years would I ever buy this again. Pure nasty! And I’m a Marmite lover.
