U53, Kåkbrinken, runestone, Gamla Stan, Sweden. Old Town of Stockholm 🇸🇪

I love walking in the Old Town of Stockholm, Gamla Stan. I go there from time to time just to walk around on the island. Gamla Stan is located on a small island, and the whole island is preserved as Gamla Stan historical area. When you walk in Gamla Stan, you feel that you are back in Medieval times. But, I found something which is even older than medieval times, which is from the Viking times. 🙌

It is located on Prästgatan, Priest Street in Gamla Stan. Interestingly, the runestone is being used as a base of the building. It is so interesting that how people change what they believe and what they cherish. Back in Viking times, people cherished and raised runestones in memory of many things like their family members, gods, events, etc. But, after Christianity was introduced to Sweden, the people started considering that it was paganism. Then, they just started considering that it is worthless and used as a base of a building. Well, they just used it as a piece of stone. It shows how people changed in many ways.

Now, the piece of runestone is used as a base of a souvenir shop on Priest Street in Gamla Stan, the Old Town of Stockholm. It is very close to the Nobel Museum and the Main Square on the island. I hope you will stop by there and take a look that the Vikings who used to live in this country curved this runestone in memory of their son. 😊 They showed their love to their son. ❤❤

普遍的な思いは何年経っても、権力者が変わっても、信教が変っても、その思いは変わらないものだなぁとこのルーン石碑を見つけ感じました。

ストックホルム市内にはガムラスタンと言う旧市街があります。　この旧市街は中世時代に建てられた居住区なのですが、そこにヴァイキング時代に作られたルーン石碑を見つけることが出来ます。　Prästgatan、司教通りと呼ばれるこの通りは名前の通り教会へ続く道です。　今では観光客を引き付けるお土産通りに姿を変えて、今ではコロナ後少し移動規制が緩和されてきたストックホルムへ欧州内から観光客が訪れています。

ノーベル博物館やガムラスタン大広場から近いと言うこともあり、この通りはいつも多くの人で賑わっています。　そこに、言われないと気づかないルーン石碑があります。　この石碑はルーンデータによると、７００年～１０２５年のヴァイキング時代に作られた石碑で、時代の変貌と共にガムラスタン建造時には建物の土台として使われました。
