The 10 Cities That Should Have an NFL Expansion Team (Part 2)

G'day tribe!! Hope you are all doing well. Yesterday I posted the first part of the 10 cities that should have an NFL team. First was Birmingham, Alabama. Also on the list are international expansion candidates Toronto, in Canada, as well as Frankfurt in Germany. Also on the list is Columbus in Ohio.

An NFL franchise brings a huge opportunity for candidate cities and there's no shortage of teams that would be willing to host one. Let's take a look at the some more cities which again takes us on another international journey.

6. Mexico City, Mexico

The two largest crowds in NFL history have been in Mexico City. Both set during preseason games, the largest was in 1994 when 112,376 watched the Cowboys and Houston Oilers. An NFL expansion team in Mexico makes sense with the amount of marketing and the over 22 million NFL fans in Mexico.

5. London, England

London tops the list of expansion cities for an international NFL team. Since 2007 London has hosted International Series games and its estimated there are over 15 million NFL fans in Britain.

The biggest issue for a London NFL expansion team is the ongoing logistics of moving staff and equipment between America and Britain during a full season.

4. San Antonio, Texas

San Antonio has a huge media market which is bigger than Kansas City, Cincinnati and Vegas. An NFL expansion team would be 80 miles from Austin and when combined with San Antonio, is a bigger media market than Seattle-Tacoma. With the Cowboys and Texans so close, Dallas and Houston have pushed back on a San Antonio NFL expansion team in the past.
