Estuve perdido un par de días, tenia algunos asuntos pendientes con mi familia y tuve que viajar a la grita, un pueblito ubicado a unas 3 horas de mi casa, amo hacer rutas en motocicleta pero debo decir que la carretera esta horrible a comparación de la última vez que fuí a inicios de este año, supongo que debido a las lluvias los huecos se han extendido y muchos pasos se han caído, por lo que pude ver durantes este par de días nadie esta intentando hacer nada para solucionar este problema.

I was lost for a couple of days, I had some unfinished business with my family and I had to travel to la grita, a small town located about 3 hours from my home, I love to do motorcycle routes but I must say that the road is horrible compared to the last time I went earlier this year, I guess due to the rains the holes have spread and many steps have fallen, from what I could see during this couple of days no one is trying to do anything to solve this problem.

Sin embargo siempre le di más importancia a disfrutar el paisaje y la experiencia, para mi se ha vuelto algo terapeutico el conducir motocicleta, estoy seguro que los bikers que lean esto entenderán de que hablo, puedo decir con toda seguridad que estos dos días de ruta me ayudaron en gran manera a subir los animos, estar rodeado de montañas y con un silencio intenso que me hacen pensar que las calles estan hechas solo para mi hacen que olvide cualquier causa de estres al menos por un momento.

However I always gave more importance to enjoy the scenery and the experience, for me it has become something therapeutic to ride a motorcycle, I am sure that the bikers who read this will understand what I mean, I can safely say that these two days of route helped me greatly to raise my spirits, being surrounded by mountains and with an intense silence that make me think that the streets are made just for me make me forget any cause of stress at least for a moment.

Demoré 3 horas y media en llegar a la grita, sorprendentemente no hubieron puntos de control en todo el camino, algo muy extraño tomando en cuenta que en la ida el clima estuvo 10 de 10, completamente soleado, pero bueno, entre menos tiempo perdiera mejor para mi. Antes de llegar a la casa de mi familia hice una pausa en el templo donde se encuentra "El Santo Cristo de la Grita", el patrono de dicho pueblo y de gran parte del Táchira por supuesto, habia pospuesto por mucho tiempo mi visita y ya era algo necesario para mi.

It took me 3 and a half hours to get to La Grita, surprisingly there were no checkpoints all the way, something very strange considering that on the way there the weather was 10 out of 10, completely sunny, but well, the less time I lost the better for me. Before arriving to my family's house I made a pause at the temple where "El Santo Cristo de la Grita" is located, the patron saint of this town and of most of Táchira of course, I had postponed my visit for a long time and it was something necessary for me.

Para mi es una tradición hacer la caminata cada año, la cual por cierto se vuelve a retomar este 2022 luego del COVID, pero de eso les hablaré durante el mes de agosto. De nuevo, el templo estaba solo, como si lo hubiesen construido para mi 😂, estuve un buen rato allí sentado descansando luego de ir sobre ese monton de asfalto con agujeros durante 3 horas, realmente termine agotado... Me despedí del templo y termine mi viaje hasta la casa de mi familia.

For me it is a tradition to do the walk every year, which by the way will be resumed again this 2022 after the COVID, but I will talk about that during the month of August. Again, the temple was alone, as if it had been built for me 😂, I was sitting there for a while resting after going over that pile of asphalt with holes for 3 hours, I really ended up exhausted .... I said goodbye to the temple and finished my trip to my family's house.

Algo muy popular e iconico en la grita son las quesadillas, me gusta cada vez que voy comprar una, siento que sin este pequeño detalle el viaje no esta completo, pasa igual con las hamburguesas callejeras... Si, soy un comelón, ya lo sé. Compre unas para mi y otras dos grandes para no llegar con las manos vacias, toda mi familia es fan de las quesadillas con café, me da felicidad poder llevarles ese gusto al menos por una tarde.

Something very popular and iconic in La Grita are the quesadillas, I like every time I go to buy one, I feel that without this little detail the trip is not complete, the same happens with the street hamburgers... Yes, I'm a foodie, I know. I bought some for myself and two large ones so I wouldn't arrive empty handed, my whole family is a fan of quesadillas with coffee, it makes me happy to be able to give them that taste at least for an afternoon.

Lo demás fue hacer visitas, ir a la laguna del pueblito, las bodegas y sobre todo ver la cantidad de mishis nuevos que han llegado a la vieja casa de mi abuela, o bueno, a mi parecer todo el pueblo ha recibido muchos nuevos felinos este 2022 😳, no estoy seguro de que sucedio, aunque tengo la certeza de que allí viven muy felices, todos se ven gorditos y bonitos, seguramente son tremendos cazadores😼.

The rest was to make visits, go to the lagoon of the village, the wineries and especially to see the amount of new mishis that have arrived at my grandmother's old house, or well, it seems to me that the whole town has received many new felines this 2022 😳, I'm not sure what happened, although I am certain that they live there very happy, they all look fat and beautiful, surely they are tremendous hunters😼.

La segunda noche aproveche de ir a comer una buena hamburguesa callejera junto a una tia y mi primo, como les digo, al igual que las quesadillas, no puede faltar una hamburguesita para poder decir que mi visita a la Grita estuvo completa, debo decir que las de esa noche han sido las mejores que he probado, tenia cuatro carnes y una salsa increible que por cierto no tengo idea de que era, el envase decia: "Especial de la casa", ¿algo así como una formula secreta?

The second night I took the opportunity to eat a good street hamburger with an aunt and my cousin, as I say, like the quesadillas, you can not miss a hamburger to say that my visit to La Grita was complete, I must say that the ones that night were the best I've tried, it had four meats and an incredible sauce that by the way I have no idea what it was, the package said: "House Special", something like a secret formula?

El camino de regreso fue otro cuento... El clima fue un caos, lluvia y neblina, un monton de animales en la vía, pero bueno, al final todo es parte de la experiencia y se disfruta, no importa que llegara con piscinas en mis botas, mi motocicleta se porto excelente y llegue en una sola pieza a mi hogar, no puedo hacer algo más que agredecer y esperar a repetir más experiencias de este estilo.

The way back was another story.... The weather was chaos, rain and fog, a lot of animals on the road, but well, in the end everything is part of the experience and is enjoyed, no matter that I arrived with pools in my boots, my motorcycle behaved excellent and arrived in one piece to my home, I can not do anything but thank and hope to repeat more experiences of this style.
