”Why are you in the Silver League when you have that much CP?”
”Why don't you try the Gold or Diamond League?”
I am often asked this question.
Today, I would like to share with you how I came to be in the Silver League and what my strategy is.

ゴールドリーグやダイヤリーグには挑戦しないのですか？
という質問を私はよく聞かれます。
今日は私がどういう経緯で、どういう戦略をもってシルバーリーグにいるのかを紹介したいと思います

I made many observations.

I started splinterlands in august 2021. I did not invest much at first, but played a lot to get an idea of what kind of gameplay it was and observed other leagues' battles, rewards, etc.
So I recognized the following game situation.

■Observation results

・Most of the old players are competing in the Gold League and above.
・In the Silver League, there are very few people who have a complete set of card assets.
・Most strategy sites only describe the model of earning income from daily rewards and battle rewards in ranked matches, and do not provide information on how to win in that league. In other words, not many theories have been established.

Based on these situations, I think it would be interesting to have a strategy of daring to master the Silver League without going up to the Gold League or higher. This hypothesis was born.

私は2021年8月にsplinterlandsを始めました。最初はあまり投資はせずに、どのようなゲーム性なのかを知るために、たくさんプレイをしながら、他のリーグのバトルや報酬などを観察しました。そこで以下のような傾向をみることができました。

■観察結果
・古くからプレイしている人はほとんどがゴールドリーグ以上で戦っている
・シルバーリーグにおいて、カードのアセットを揃えている人はかなり少ない
・ほとんどの攻略サイトがデイリー報酬や、ランクマッチのバトル報酬で収入を得るモデルについてしか記載しておらず、どのようにしたらそのリーグで勝てるようになるか情報がでていない。すなわち、あまりセオリーが確立されていない。

これらの傾向を踏まえて、ゴールドリーグ以上には上がらずにあえてシルバーリーグを極める戦略は面白いのではないか？という仮説が生まれました。

What led to the decision to implement the strategy

However, that was still not enough material to implement my strategy.
Then the following event was announced: Brawler, a Silver League rules tournament with a prize of 10,000 sps.
しかし、まだそれだけでは実行にうつすには判断する材料としては足りませんでした。
そんな時に以下のイベントが公開されました。Brawlerというシルバーリーグのルールで行われる優勝賞金10000spsの大会です

In preparation for this tournament, I had the opportunity to practice under the Silver League rules with TOP Japanese players who are usually active in the Champion League, and we exchanged information. And I learned there that theories in different leagues are quite different.

These events made me think that if I focused on the Silver League, I could potentially beat some of the older, more active players in the Gold League and above.
I also felt that mastering the Silver League might be a good investment, given the possibility that larger tournaments like Brawler will continue to be played under Silver League rules.

Incidentally, this bralwr tournament was cancelled midway through the tournament due to slow processing on the splinterlands server. (Hopefully it will be held again).

Later, more official Silver League tournaments were held, and I was able to win three consecutive official Silver League tournaments at that time. I think this was the result of focusing on the Silver League and practicing anyway more than anyone else. However, recently the number of competitors has been increasing, so it is not easy to win the championship.

この大会に向けて、その時に、普段ダイヤリーグ以上で活躍されている日本のTOPプレイヤーとシルバーリーグのルールで練習をさせてもらい、情報交換をさせていただきました。そしてリーグが違うとセオリーがかなり違うことをそこで知りました。

これらの出来事から、シルバーリーグに焦点をあててプレイすれば、古くからいるゴールドリーグ以上で活躍するプレイヤーにも勝てる可能性があると思いました。
またBrawlerのような大きい大会がシルバーリーグのルールで今後も行われる可能性があることから、シルバーリーグを極めることが投資の面からもよいかもしれないと感じました。

ちなみに、このbralwrの大会は途中でsplinterlandsのサーバの処理が遅くなってしまい、大会途中で中止となりました。（また開かれることを祈っています）

その後、シルバーリーグの公式トーナメントの開催も増えて、当時シルバーリーグの公式大会は3連覇をすることができました。これはシルバーリーグに焦点をあてて誰よりもとにかく練習をした結果だと思います。しかし最近は競合も増えてきたので、なかなか簡単には優勝できません。

Finally.

I am no genius, and I don't believe that I would be able to win continuously as I do now if there were many similarly Silver League-focused players in the same way about this game. However, if I had to give myself a pat on the back, I would praise myself for focusing on the Silver League at an early stage and implementing a strategy to take first place in a niche area.
