Vor ein paar Wochen war ich in Bayern mit meinem Wohnmobil unterwegs. Dabei kam ich an der Stadt Dinkelsbühl vorbei. Am Ortseingang stand ein Schild mit der Aufschrift "Deutschlands schönste Altstadt". Ich beschloss, hier zu bleiben und mir die Altstadt anzuschauen.
A few weeks ago I was in Bavaria with my motorhome on the road. In the process, I passed the town of Dinkelsbühl. At the entrance to the town, a sign said "Germany's most beautiful old town". I decided to stay here to have a look at the old town.
Dinkelsbühl ist eine große Kreisstadt im Landkreis Anspach in Mittelfranken und ein wichtiges touristisches Ziel an der Romantischen Straße, die zwischen Würzburg und Augsburg eine ganze Reihe von Städten mit weitgehend erhaltenen mittelalterlichen Stadtkernen verbindet.
Dinkelsbühlis a large district town in the Anspach administrative district in Middle Franconia and an important tourist destination on the Romantic Road, which connects a whole series of towns with extensively preserved medieval town centers between Würzburg and Augsburg.
Dinkelsbühl entstand um 1130 als Stützpunkt der Staufer. Ab 1372 erhielt die Altstadt mit dem Bau der Stadtmauer ihre heutige Gestalt und hat sich seither nicht grundlegend verändert.
Dinkelsbühl originated around 1130 as a base of the Staufer dynasty. From 1372 the old town received its present shape with the construction of the town wall and has not changed fundamentally since then.
Der Wohnmobilstellplatz P5 ...
... steht ganzjährig für 35 Wohnmobile zur Verfügung und befindet sich am Rande des Ortes. Das Gelände ist gepflastert. Teilweise ist der Boden uneben. Es gibt Frischwasser 10 Cent/10 Min. und Strom 1 Euro/kWh. Die Entsorgung von Grauwasser und chemischer Toilette ist kostenlos. Die Parkgebühr beträgt 6 Euro/24h. Die Bezahlung erfolgt am Parkscheinautomaten. Es gibt ausgewiesene Rad- und Wanderwege. Bis zur Altstadt sind es ca. 500m.
The RV park P5 ...
... is available all year round for 35 motorhomes and is located on the outskirts of the village. The terrain is paved. Partly the ground is uneven. There is fresh water 10 cents/10 min and electricity 1 euro/kWh. Disposal of gray water and chemical toilet is free. The parking fee is 6 Euro/24h. Payment is made at the parking ticket machine. There are designated cycling and hiking trails. It is about 500m to the old town.
