It's safe to say stress is inevitable. It comes from various sources. Stress a part of existence on its own. It can affect both our mental and physical health.

Dealing with stress is very important. It's necessary to be in shape at all times, hence the need to deal with stress to protect both our mental and physical health.

A Lot of things have been happening around the world over the past year. We had Covid, BLM, Endsars(in my country). All of these events put together affected my mental health in various ways.

I have had to devise a few ways to deal with the stress. Because it's important to keep going.

One of the few ways I deal with stress is music. music has a way of calming my soul and listening to music that uplifts my spirit is everything. For a moment it is easy to forget everything happening around you and just zone out.

I have discovered that whenever I'm stressed and I listen to music, it feels like I'm in another dimension.

Another thing I do is work. Yes, when I'm stressed I work. When an event seems to be stressing me, I need something to take my mind off it, and work is that something. Whenever I'm working I try to be 100% present. Eventually, I forget about my stressor and just enjoy whatever I'm doing.

Sometimes when I don't think working will do the trick I turn to my support system. My friend and my boyfriend. At that point, all I just want to do is talk and have someone listen to me.

It's great that I have a good support system. Because sometimes all I want to do is ignore everything and rant. It helps me feel better. Just knowing someone is listening to my problems.

I find that sometimes my stressor is social media. Whenever I feel like that. I take a break from social media. I go offline for a day or two and spend time with myself.

During these times I watch movies (I enjoy watching movies a lot). I also try out new crochet patterns. I do anything but go online until I feel better.

These are a few ways I deal with stress. The method I decide to go with depends on what is stressing me at a particular point in time.
