Looking forward to becoming a father, Zach was anxious with several other feelings attached to that. He has been faithful to his maker all his life. He strongly believed that nothing bad could ever happen to him. Right from his childhood, he would always attend church services, carry out missionary works, charity works and several voluntary services. Generally he is a very Religious man. One thing he was denied was a child. He has been married for 15 years, with no child and 7 misconceptions at child birth.
He sat in the waiting room of the hospital fingers crossed waiting for the doctor's feedback. It seemed like forever before the doctor finally came out with a sad expression on his face.
"Doctor, can I see my wife and my baby now?"
"Sit, There has been a terrible incident."
The doctor said with a worried face as he gave Zach the worse news he has ever heard in his life.
"Your child was a Still birth."
"That is terrible, I'm sure God will provide another child. I need to go in there and console my wife."
"Sir, we lost your wife as well."
"What do you mean you lost my wife. I need to see my wife now. Take me to my wife!!"
Zach said struggling to get out of the doctor's grip. It took two other staffs to be able to hold down Zach.
"I'm so sorry sir." The doctor said as he walked away.
Zach was left confused and disheartened. He sat on the bare floor crying for hours. He couldn't stop asking himself why God has forsaken him and took his Joy away. The shock was too much for Zach that it changed his entire life. He stopped worshipping God, he stopped attending church services, stopped all the voluntary services he rendered to the church and to the public at large.
For many years, Zach lived a lonely life, secluding himself from the rest of the world. One day, he got a visit from a prophet.
"Mr Zach, the Lord is worried about the way you are living. Why have you abandoned him?"
"Don't come here speaking to me about God. He abandoned be first."
"Have you thought about what God has in plan for you. Do you know that a great destiny awaits you in future."
"How can a great destiny await me when I have no child or family."
"What is written is written. All these are mere trials and jubilations. The Lord sent me here today to reveal your destiny to you."
Zach was shown a vision where he was surrounded my so many children and everything progressed for him. He was a successful in all ramifications of life. A made man indeed.
[It is assumed that the vision of his destiny actually came from God.]
After seeing his destiny, Zach was grateful to God for having such a great future planned out for him. He vowed to go back to the Lord and draw more souls to the Lord. But then that night a voice came to his head.
***"Why go back to the Lord, when he abandoned you for so many years. Remember how people mocked you all those years you were childless. If he has a great destiny planned for you, then why live a life of suffering. Enjoy your life any how you feel like besides the prophet says what is written is written."
As he lay on his bed, Zach contemplated on these words and the voice infiltrated his mind and he decided to obey the voice. He didn't keep his vow to go back to the Lord rather he lived a reckless life. He went around doing whatever he wants, committing several attrocities without caring about the consequences. He was ready to do whatever it takes to be successful and profitable in ever deal, even it meant taking a life. People would always tell him.
"Zach Karma is real and one day it will come knocking at your door."
He didn't believe in Karma. He always told himself that he had a great Destiny planned for him already, therefore nothing was going to stop him from attaining his destiny. He kept treading on this evil path, until one day he duped the wrong set of people. He had no idea that the men he cheated knew his identity. They tracked him down, broke into his house and shot him dead. Before he died he had only one question in his mouth.
"My destiny was not to die this way. I was destined to be a successful man."
Footnote
When it comes to the topic about destiny and Karma, two things are involved. It is either destiny doesn't exist and life goes in the direction your actions steers it to, Or Destiny exists and it changes once you deviate from the path of your Destiny. I strongly believe that Karma is real.
