excerpt from the previous episode

"I know what you see, you see a lizard monster but I tell you, my young man, we are not monsters" The old reptile sat gently on a wooden stool and was silent for a moment like he was looking for the right words to say.
Everything is not as it seems, we are not savages just calm down and hand me that wooden club, my child,"

As I lay on the rocky grounds, I closed my eyes, trying to force myself to wake up from this nightmare but the following morning, I woke up with a surreal knot in my belly. I had hoped that I would awake in my familiar abode, perhaps, to the voice of my troublesome brother but alas that wasn't the case.

I slowly got up and took another look at the surrounding walls with a shallow breath, my gaze panned around and suddenly halted at the sight of the being right behind me just at the entrance of the room.

My breath skipped as I observed this reptilian figure tower over me, It stood very tall, much taller than the average person, its small round eyes seemed to pierce my very being, It was the same Old reptile that approached me earlier, I could recognize the white beards.

He suddenly grabbed my face, squishing my cheeks as if he was observing a specimen, I tried shoving him off with my hands but Immediately felt his rough-scaly arms grab my hands like a clamp, I knew he could bruise my bones if he just squeezed hard enough.

"What do you want from me... What" I exclaimed as my heart pounded like beating drums.

Suddenly, He brought out an orb from his porch and placed it on my palm, I immediately clenched my jaw as I expected the worst but I felt a warm sensation on my palms as this orb started to glow warm yellow.

"Is he the one? Master Abin" Another reptilian spoke.

I had not taken notice of this new presence as I was transfixed on what this Older looking reptile was doing to me.

"Yes it seems, The Orb reacts to him just as in my visions," replied Abin while stroking his greybeards.

I slowly observed as this other reptilian in the room leaned forward with its long limbs, putting a bowl on the ground, within it is some weirdly shaped fruit.

"What is your name, child" Abin said as he took one of the fruit in the bowl and placed it in my hand gently.

"I am Thorok, son of Mabun, my people will come for me, you have to let me go..." I said with a bit of courage.

"You have to eat child, you will need your strength" Abin chuckled as he tapped my shoulder.

The two reptilians slowly walked out of the room, leaving me with this weird-looking fruit in my hands, I observed the fruit with a frown on my face, dreading the fact that I might have to eat this soft gooey thing but my growling stomach reminded me that this was my only option.

As I bit down on the fruit I was surprised that the taste was unlike anything I had ever tasted, my eyes widened with satisfaction as I gobbled every morsel.
