Steemit (hive) software inventor @dan larimer and his recent EOS foundation conference calls ...... constantly references the old "eating your own dog food" routine...this means using ones own product to show it has a use case. In this case its EOSIO / dpos and the bitshares steemit eos network of chains he created, and the worlds expectation for him to be finding a killer dapp or function for them which he thinks will be DID decentralized IDs .... which is why he is working on @edenos
(and honestly hive DOES need a HiveID @hiveid system where uploading NFTs of your face and a blog that get voted YES by YOUR verified web of trust followers or verification witnesses gets you logged into a temporary posting or even active key permission hive-engine side-chain smart-contract )

an Ad Hoc ID verification system im trying to chissel out of the rock that is Hivepower, Hive NFTs, Hive Engine Custom JSON smart contracts, Hive Reputation scores, and Followers (and the need for "Friends" based on MUTUAL followership and MUTUAL FOLLOWERS like facebook/Instagram shows)
Temporary Posting and even Active permissions will be given to you for a NEW hive account used initially as a hot wallet in experimental phase (But we can link this to any hive wallet with a simple key change in the future )
Now you are basically filling up a new throwaway account (that wont ever be thrown away because its the blockchain) and you do this by using something like twitter, discord or telegram to upload a burst of 3 selfies or 1 full scanned 3d selfie GIF / @dapplr MP4 (using a simple 3d face scanning selfie website or app) and this gets posted from https://tipit.io TO HIVE blog and people UPVOTE on these posts
ahh we can even limit verifications to those who have tokens at first and peopel can only have 1 account anyway lol - i wonder sometimes if this is just a system to gauge the advancement of deep fakes for identity verification lol
ANYWAY we upload these SELFIE NFTS to hive right? But without a hive account for new users, how? For new users, we go through something like tipit.io or @tipcc which has hive and lets us use a discord which is free and instant signup, to upload a 3d selfie to special private verification discord groups which dont take any personal info except the 3d face scan WHICH you will be making public anyway
tipit or tipcc then uploads this on its hive account (which will need a lot of hivepower which can be funded from edenos eos proposals) and when it uploads your discord uploaded 3d selfie or 3 regular selfies to hive NOW people can upvote or downvote weather or not this is who you say you are ... or if you are the person matching a hive account
now the recovery partner can be someone who can reset the keys all together after inactivity OR if keys are lost and someone has a HiveID selfie NFT already verified by enough users, they can even reset lost keys not just stolen keys!
Anyway the users who upvote and downvote you have to be
mutual followers
have a high ENOUGH rep (but how much? *)
have a high enough Hivepower (again how much?*)
The Mutual Followers thing HAS to be worked out to allow us to display "friends" and perhaps peakd or busy.org even already figured this out but as a social network we should be experimenting with all sorts of blockchain social engineering tools to social engineer for good, unlike facebooks engineering towards addiction etc. For example hive can start showing us who we interact with the most to get the most upvotes in posts and comments ;)
*So how much reputation or Hivepower must an account have to have their upvotes count on this network? Enough to trigger a math equation set to balance Hivepower, Reputation, and the RISK associated with giving back your account, factoring in maybe the amount of posts you have, and the amount of people with high rep/stake who do upvote verify yes your public verification NFTs (Theoretically with ZEOS style contracts could be made private too shown only to verifiers over a private discord or encrypted telegram) (and maybe some way to factor in risk via the amount of Hive/HP/HBD in your account x your friends reputation etc just brain storming here)
maybe someone will see the answer in this mess or explain to me how far the real hive devs have gotten with ideas about an ID system, including @dan Larimer who has talked about his ClarionOS including Hive Blogs and clarion working with @edenos the EOS Distributed ID system that has inspired me to write this post
An Individual Hive engine token with custom JSON for EACH USER is one solution and honestly, the what $20 for 100 BEE tokens to create a Hive engine token for EACH account is a VERY cheap price to access this sort of Decentralized identity System that could potentially let you back into an account because you sent enough of your OWN custom hive engine scotbot account recovery tokens to enough hive identity witnesses to trigger some sort of automated recovery side chain smart contract to let you back in your account after 3d selfie NFTs you upload over discord or twitter or telegram over @edenos are verified by the accounts pre set up to allow LOST account recovery lol OR AT LEAST an active key or TEMPORARY PERMISSIONS set previously toa trusted multisignature HiveID web of trust account recovery network of accounts, to power down your account FOR YOU to allow you to at least MOVE the FUNDS to a new account :) haha

EOSIO is so sad lol its like the blueprints for a disneyland version of America and the world that never happened. Its like theyre letting joe biden wear down america to the bare bones so they have an excuse to rebuild the RIGHT way lol with Blockchain integrated into everything from schools to real estate to local state and national voting
But first we have to make the ID and signup system work for us in the real consumer economic peacetime world. We make hive ID profitable as a UBI that just keeps people on hive everyday and verifying their ID, and we can keep people on hive giving them defacto jobs referring OTHER users for even more hive OR hive engine tokens!
