Hive blog 42: @home|an afternoon by the sea

Here I was having had the time to visit the sea. Oh, I haven't had experience it for the longest time.

Looked like there was no typhoon that passed that week. The sun was back, sky cleared up. You know about being at the sea side is different feeling. I am used to rivers and mountain because that is where we live. Sea excites me. It just water, a vast water, waves and nothingness when you looked farther away from the horizon. It gave me the sense of realization how big the world is. That whatever is holding me at the very place of where I was, there is something out there for me, when I looked straight to the end of the waters. It seems endless, there could be more possibilities that I had to sail and see. Soon, I would be leaving away from this Island again. Away from the comfort of my home. As we sat and walk by the beach, I had my mind freeze for a while about thinking things. I was letting the sunset covered my sight and appreciated how everything went as hoping for the things that comes.

It was my batchmates that had a get together and I was grateful for the invite when Che and Paul knew I was still in my place. They chatted me and even picked me by the motorcycle. If they didn't, then I was not able to come. It was the hot day of Holy Friday. Most of them didn't have work. They had planned to have some salo salo. We cooked biko and pansit, and others that I forgot already. We were just there on our other classmates house as they thought about why not be at the sea to change the view. It was easy for them to decide, they all know how to ride their motorcycles.

I was grateful that day, for my friends and shared time. The feels of the sand and salt water on my feet seems reconnected me to the past of not caring for all the worries there is.

I wished I could do it more often to visit a sea without paying much. But for now, I will content to dream for it again, never know when I will be back.

Lucky are those who are able to see the sea whenever they like it for the seaside never fails to give something when you try to stop and appreciate what it can give you. I hope you have a great day friends. See you next time.😊
