When you use public transport, there is only limited to no chance that the vehicle will do a stopover but if you use your own car, you have the freedom to stop wherever you want and stay there as long as you want.

That little flat green thing is the beautiful Sumilon Island.

With this signage along the road, it will be difficult to miss this coffeeshop.

I love that Oslob have some places like this!

A few months ago, Ar-ar came home from France and we maximized our time and decided to go to Dumaguete. Another friend of mine was also in Cebu to pick up her parents who came home from Davao and brought them to Dumaguete. A day before the scheduled trip we met up and decided that we should go together to Dumaguete.

We left the city after lunch and drove all the way to the south side of Cebu. We brought two cars since we were a big group. When we reached Oslob, which was around 3 hours of drive away from the city, we decided to have a stopover in this newly opened cafe, Luka's Coffee. The coffee shop has a great view of the ocean of Oslob and a view of Sumilon Island. The coffee shop is just by the road and it's too hard to miss with its yellow signage.

We placed our order at the counter and got some drinks, coffee, and cakes for a light snack. While waiting for our orders, we made use of the time to take photos of the spacious cafe and there were not many people at that time. We love the native table and chairs of the cafe and its high ceiling.

The view from the outside of the cafe really wins my heart. I'm such a sucker for places close to the ocean or have an ocean view. I love the sound of the waves and also the feeling of the sea breeze. Though the ocean in this area has no front beach or sand to walk on to, the blue waters are more than enough.

Me, Ar-ar and Kate carrying Aria.

Our food and drinks finally came and we gather around the table. We spoke about the thing we will do in Dumaguete and also some fun memories from the best. We spoke about how Ar-ar's sister and Kate's son grow up. It was a nice time catching up with everyone. We never ran out of something to talk about and I always love how they make me feel. You know there are some people who aren't even related to you but always make you feel belong and see. They are my kind of people. That's why I always call them my extended family.

Super grateful for these two! My great and beautiful friends for more or less 10 years now!.

I am so grateful for this trip and for everyone who I was with. A lot of time was bearable because of them. They are the people I can count on anytime and anywhere. Do you also have some friends that turned into a family? Care to share?
