atolier B&W photography

Black and white photography taught me how to capture emotion.
Ted Grant, who is a Canadian photographer, says: "When you photograph people in color, you are actually photographing their clothes. But when you photograph in black and white, you are photographing their soul and emotions." When I took a series of color photos of the emotions of the people around me, I understood the meaning of Grant's words in a very clear way. My first professional experience with black and white photography was during my student days. In a photography competition, they asked us to take pictures of people around us with a free subject or everything. I was focusing on digital cameras at that time, and shooting with a completely manual and very low-tech camera did not have a particular impact on my learning process, but the most important thing I learned in this black and white contest was the importance of photographing emotions.
Hello again to all my friends in the black and white community.
I hope you are well and wherever you are, you are healthy and full of energy.
Leaving aside the introduction of the post, today we have a special post from a series of photographs of one of my clients, which I decided to express my model's spirit and challenge myself according to what Mr. Ted said.
I must say that it is not very easy at the beginning, because usually a model who comes to us as a client, and does not have a specific idea, does not have a dominant spirit and comes to us in a natural state, so we have to create this feeling in him and Ask him to achieve what we want.
Let's go see the photos together :

I like the last photo very much. In general, this client of mine was not very interesting looking directly into the camera, and I noticed that he was very uncomfortable with the camera when he looked at it and did not focus enough to feel it. So immediately in the first step, I changed his look. This allowed me to take better shots at different angles.
There are some photographers who even shoot in a very simple environment with a simple camera, they take very professional and good photos, I realized that if I really want to become such a photographer, I have to do black and white photography. This makes you maneuver only on the subject, angle and light of your binoculars for photography. Well, thank you dear ones for being with me so far and I am really happy that we can use each other's experiences here. take care and have nice day.
