Good day community

This morning I walk through a small marina located in the region of Galicia, in Spain. When I walk through these places, the feeling they give me is one of adventure and freedom. The variety of boats and details that it has become very good targets to take some images for a nautical collection that I am putting together. I have options to take pictures in different ways, either in a semi general plane, where the view can reach a more global scene, or trying to capture only specific details of this place.

In this precious moment of the walk through the marina, everything seemed to be calm, the boats seemed to rest from their trips, the contrast between them was noticeable since it was found from sailboats to motorboats, passing through some smaller rowing boats. This port in particular has a sailing school where they were just beginning to start the day of learning how to handle it. When I stepped on the floating port or marsh, the sensation was very pleasant, with a small movement produced by its position on top of the water.

The details followed one another and I focused in this series on taking some images that seemed significant to me from the moments I was watching. One of the images that most caught my attention was the strange, abstract reflections that were produced on the surface of a calm sea, in this port area protected by dikes. The apparent stillness was broken by the movement of some boat that began its preparations for navigation.

What surprised me the most was the start of maneuvers, as in an apparent dance some boats were positioning themselves to take a course, to start their navigation. I liked the sound of some motors of the boats, they seemed to roar loudly and I could imagine what it would be like to go at full speed with them through this beautiful Vigo estuary.

Fascinated by all this I was seeing, I began to collect many of those moments, images that would remain for my collection of nautical photographs. I have thought about turning some images into black and white because I think the details are better appreciated, especially since there are specific details that interest me. Selecting a good number of images has also been one of the reasons I had this morning to make this publication.

Puerto de recreo. Colección náutica.

Esta mañana recorro un pequeño puerto deportivo situado en la región de Galicia, en España. Cuando camino por estos lugares la sensación que me producen es de aventura y libertad. La variedad de embarcaciones y detalles que tiene se convierten en muy buenos objetivos para tomar algunas imágenes para una colección de náutica que estoy confeccionando. Tengo opciones para tomar fotografías de diferentes maneras, ya sea en un plano semi general, donde la vista pueda alcanzar un escenario más global como tratar de captar solo detalles concretos de este lugar.

En este precioso momento del paseo por el puerto deportivo todo parecía estar tranquilo, las embarcaciones parecían descansar de sus viajes, el contraste entre ellas era notorio ya que encontraba desde veleros a motoras, pasando por algunas barcas más pequeñas de remos. Este puerto en concreto tiene una escuela de vela donde empezaban a iniciar en estos momentos la jornada de aprendizaje de manejo. Cuando pise el puerto o pantanal flotante la sensación era muy agradable, con un pequeño movimiento producido por su posición encima del agua.
Los detalles se sucedían y me centre en esta serie en tomar algunas imágenes que me parecía significativas de los momentos que iba viendo. Una de las imágenes que más llamaba mi atención eran los reflejos extraños, abstractos que se producían en la superficie de un tranquilo mar, en esta zona portuaria protegida por diques. La aparente quietud se rompía por el movimiento de alguna embarcación que iniciaba sus preparativos para la navegación.
Lo que más me sorprendía era el inicio de maniobras, como en un aparente baile algunas embarcaciones iban posicionándose para tomar rumbo, para iniciar su navegación. El sonido de algunos motores de las lanchas me gustaba, parecían rugir con fuerza y me podía imaginar cómo sería ir a toda velocidad con ellas por esta hermosa ría de Vigo.
Fascinado por todo esto que estaba viendo empecé a recoger muchos de esos momentos, imágenes que quedaran para mi colección de fotografías sobre náutica. He pensado pasar algunas imágenes a blanco y negro porque creo que los detalles se aprecian mejor, sobre todo porque hay detalles en concreto que me interesan. Seleccionar un buen numero de imágenes ha sido también una de los motivos que he tenido esta mañana para confeccionar esta publicación.
