A Visit to St Giles Church and a Church Yard Geocache

While visiting St Giles Church I realised that someone had hidden a geocache close by. I love a geocache but had a look around the church first.

There's a reference that a church was situated in this area in 1129 and rebuilt in around 1826.

I loved the old seat. I'm not sure how old it is but seemed more appropriate in monochrome.

According to the leaflet inside the church, the stained glass window is in memory of Sir George Crew, 8th Baronet, who was the restorer of the Church.

The church is now a private manorial chapel that is owned by the National Trust and a Grade II listed building.

After looking inside the church, I set off outside to find the geocache. I looked on the geocache app and the hint was in the corner.

I found the little micro cache relatively easy in a corner of the church yard.

I signed and dated it and returned it to its hiding place.
