The lion has always been called the king of the jungle. But there is two things wrong with this.

  1. Lions rarely live in the true jungle they are more of a sahel and savanna animal.

  2. It takes numerous lines to take down an elephant.

This is why I think that elephants are the true kings of the jungle, because their are forest dwelling elephants and one elephant is more mighty in size and more dangerous than one lion.

It doesn't hurt that I have had multiple chances of seeing elephants in the wild in Africa and used for work in India.

These photos were shot myself in Mole National Park in Ghana in 2011, with a Canon Digital Eos Rebel.
